Tim Duncan turned in a double-double against the Heat in Game 4's win on Thursday with 10 points, 11 boards, two assists, two steals, one block and no turnovers in 31 minutes.
The Spurs brought the defense in a big way. Miami only had 30 points in the paint and they went scoreless in the fast-break points department in the first half before scoring seven of those in the second half. As for Duncan, he has just outworked every guy the Heat put on him for better position and get very easy buckets at the rim. It would be a surprise if the Spurs don't finish this thing off on Sunday at home. Additionally, the Big Fundamental set the record for most playoff double-doubles in NBA history.

Tim Duncan tied Magic Johnson's NBA record with 157 career postseason double-doubles on Sunday, posting 18 points, 15 rebounds and one block in the Spurs' Game 2 defeat.
Throughout the playoffs Duncan has been questioned about his plans for retirement, but the 38-year-old's play suggests he's nowhere near finished. He made 7-of-14 field goals and looked spry throughout the game, but his line was blemished by a 4-of-8 mark at the free throw line, including two of the Spurs' four consecutive misses with six minutes remaining in the fourth quarter. The Spurs will look to regain their edge in the series during Tuesday's Game 3 in Miami.

Tim Duncan was almost unstoppable vs. the Heat in Game 1's 110-95 win, making 9-of-10 from the field for 21 points with 10 rebounds, three assists and five turnovers.
It was all about position for Duncan with nine of his 10 shots coming from within four feet of the hoop. The Heat didn't have an answer for him at all as his efficiency shows, which wasn't a strength in the last two rounds. Duncan didn't shoot above 49 percent in either of the last two rounds, but the lack of size on Miami spelled trouble. The Spurs will look to take a 2-0 lead on Sunday.

Tim Duncan said the Spurs will "do it this time" in their NBA Finals rematch vs. the Heat.
We're happy it's the Heat," Duncan added. The Spurs had one of the tougher roads in the playoffs, facing the Mavericks, Blazers and Thunder. Meanwhile, Miami had one of the easier trips vs. the Bobcats, Nets and Pacers. Unlike last year, the Spurs have home-court advantage in what should be a very exciting series.

Tim Duncan lived in the paint during Game 6 to get his Spurs to the NBA Finals, finishing with 19 points, 15 boards, two assists, two steals and one block on 6-of-14 from the field.
He had outstanding position all night, but the shots just weren't going down. He shot 4-of-12 in regulation with all of those coming in the paint, then he really picked it up in overtime. Duncan's legs looked a little tired for really the first time in a while, but it's certainly not enough to say he'll slow down the rest of the way. He'll be ready for Game 1 vs. Miami on Thursday.

Tim Duncan shot 8-of-13 from the field in Game 5's 117-89 win over the Thunder on Thursday, finishing with 22 points, 12 boards, two assists, one block and two turnovers in 30 minutes.
He set up shop in the paint on both ends of the floor while his teammates were able to handle the perimeter. Duncan did not shoot over 42 percent in any of his previous three games, but he turned in one of his best games of these playoffs. The Spurs were still able to get 40 points in the paint, but most of their damage was done at the line with 26 makes and from beyond the arc with 13 triples. They'll look to close out the series in OKC on Saturday.

Tim Duncan hit just 3-of-8 shots for nine points, six rebounds and four assists in Tuesday's 105-92 Game 4 loss to the Thunder.
Duncan played 25 minutes, and the Spurs should be well rested for Thursday's Game 5 back in San Antonio. Tony Parker led the way with 14 points, four assists and 26 minutes for the starters, while OKC's Russell Westbrook played 45 minutes, and Kevin Durant played 41 minutes in the loss. Kawhi Leonard had just 10 points, Danny Green only scored three, and Boris Diaw came off the bench for 14 points, 10 rebounds and two 3-pointers in the loss. This series is going to be a good one and we're guessing the winner of Game 5 will end up winning the series. Be there, or be square.

Spurs GM R.C. Buford was named the NBA's Executive of the Year on Tuesday.
Buford has never won the award before despite taking over the GM position from Gregg Popovich 12 years ago, since when the Spurs have won three championships in 2003, 2005 and 2007. San Antonio can now lay claim to the season's Coach of the Year and Executive of the Year, but they have their sights set on the all-important Larry O'Brien championship trophy.

Tim Duncan made 8-of-14 from the field and all six attempts from the line for 22 points during Game 3's 109-108 loss, adding five boards, two assists and three blocks in 36 minutes.
The Spurs book-ended this game with 34-point quarters in the first- and fourth-quarters, but they had just 20 in the other two. They also had just six 3-pointers and part of that was due to Dallas improving on closing on kick-outs from Tony Parker. The Spurs may be down 2-1, but only a fool would doubt them at this point. They'll look to even the series in Dallas on Monday.

Tim Duncan (knee) played 30 minutes during Wednesday's 113-92 loss to the Mavericks with 11 points, seven boards, one assist, two blocks and one turnover.
He had a minor knee injury and that's not what bothered Duncan tonight. The Mavericks didn't let him dominate the paint like he did in Game 1 and also shockingly kept the Spurs to just 28 points in the paint. Coach Greeg Popovich will have dozens of new ways to score for Game 3 in Dallas with the series now at 1-1.
