Steve Nash (hamstrings) confirmed that he's unlikely to play again this season. "Because I had a pretty good setback [on Tuesday], I probably won't play again," Nash said. "If I get a good recovery over the next week, I'd love to play again. A big goal for me was not to go into the summer injured." He took over the NBA's third-highest career assists total during Tuesday's game, which may have been the only reason he played, and we're not expecting to see him again this year. His vaunted career may also be at its end if the Lakers decide to amnesty his contract this summer.

Steve Nash returned to action on Tuesday April 8.

Steve Nash had three points, three rebounds, five assists and a 3-pointer in 13 minutes, passing Mark Jackson for No. 3 on the all-time NBA assists list on Tuesday. Nash was playing specifically to get the record and you have to think his season is officially over now that Jackson is in his rearview mirror. In fact, it sounds like his career is over if you believe what Mike D'Antoni said after the game. "Too bad everything comes to an end, but he's had a great career," he said. Nash added that he felt a "bite" in his hamstring, meaning his season, and possibly career, has come to an end.

Steve Nash (back, leg) is planning to play against the Rockets on Tuesday. Technically, he is questionable to play for the 10:30 EDT night game, but it sounds like he'll give it a go. Nash hasn't really been able to make it through a game healthy and the Lakers will likely keep his minutes in check. Jordan Farmar will also be back, which means Kendall Marshall obviously won't be playing 43 minutes again like he did on Sunday.

Steve Nash (nerve irritation) will not play on Sunday. He played 19 minutes on Friday and is reportedly aiming to play again next week, but it's more of a feel-good story than a meaningful contribution for fantasy owners.

Steve Nash will play in Friday's game against the Mavs. Nash will likely come off the bench behind Kendall Marshall. We'd expect 15-20 minutes and then a few days of rest to recover.

Steve Nash will not play against the Kings on Wednesday night. He suffered an ankle injury in the first half, but he added it is not related to his nerve issue. Kendall Marshall should get minutes in the high 20s again and coach Mike D'Antoni will likely tweak his rotation to help strengthen his second unit. Nash has very little fantasy appeal.

Steve Nash suffered an ankle sprain in the first half against the Blazers on Tuesday and was able to return, finishing with 10 points, four boards, 10 assists, one block and one turnover in 22 minutes. He's really struggled in staying healthy during games, but at least this time it wasn't his nerve irritation. Nash was effective tonight, but his inability to exit a game in good health eliminates him from fantasy consideration.

Steve Nash (nerve irritation) is considered probable for Tuesday's game. We're not taking anything for granted with Nash, who isn't likely to play many minutes even if he does take the court. His possible return makes Kendall Marshall an even shakier option at PG vs. Damian Lillard and the Blazers.

Steve Nash (nerve irritation) will not play on Sunday. He was never expected to play and it's anyone's guess if or when he'll return this season, though to his credit he hasn't thrown in the towel despite L.A.'s lousy record and lack of playoff aspirations.
