Stephon Marbury scored 41 points on Friday to help the Beijing Ducks clinch their first-ever CBA title. The 35-year-old NBA pariah has found great success in China. It's a great story to be reporting about Marbury, whose basketball skills were nearly overshadowed by personal troubles and, yes, crazy internet videos of him weeping and eating Vaseline. He out-dueled Aaron Brooks (33 points) in the clinching game.

Stephon Marbury has reportedly agreed to a one-year contract with the Chinese team Beijing Shougang. The deal could be worth $100,000 per month or $1.4 million for the year, according to different reports, as Marbury has found an effective means of extending his career in the CBA. He averaged 25.2 points, 5.7 assists, 4.5 rebounds and 1.6 steals with the Foshan Dralions last season, but Beijing gives him (and his Starbury line) an even larger market.

Wachovia is suing Stephon Marbury for $16 million it loaned to Marbury's company, Starbury. If the bank can't get it from Marbury's apparel company, they'll come after the point guard himself. He made just over $151 million during his NBA career, so let's hope that this issue gets resolved rather quickly.
