McClellan sat out Friday's practice, J. Michael of CSN Mid-Atlantic reports.
EDGE Analysis
McClellan went for a career-high 18 points in 35 minutes in Washington's regular season finale, but now that the Wizards are preparing for their first-round playoff series with the Hawks, McClellan doesn't figure to play much of a role, making his practice absence Friday somewhat insignificant.

McClellan scored 18 points (6-11 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 5-6 FT), while adding four rebounds across 35 minutes in Wednesday's 110-102 loss to the Heat.
EDGE Analysis
After being recalled from the D-League Tuesday, McClellan earned the most minutes in the season finale out of anyone on the Wizards roster, as the coaches probably wanted a long look at his potential for the postseason. McClellan didn't disappoint, as he contributed the second-highest point total on the team, but probably won't see much time from here as he didn't contribute much elsewhere and John Wall was resting.

McClellan was recalled from the D-League's Rio Grande Valley Vipers on Tuesday, Candace Buckner of the Washington Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Though McClellan has averaged only 8.7 minutes per game this season in 29 appearances, he'll be recalled and active for the Wizards' final game against the Heat on Wednesday. As a result, it seems likely that the Wizards may opt to rest, or limit the minutes of, star point guard John Wall -- giving an opportunity to McClellan to see the floor.

McClellan was assigned Tuesday to the D-League's Rio Grande Valley Vipers.
EDGE Analysis
McClellan has averaged just 8.7 minutes across 29 games this season, so a stint in the D-League for the undrafted product out of Miami (FL) should give him an opportunity for an extended workload. Once recalled, McClellan doesn't figure to claim a rotation role, which keeps him off the fantasy radar in the majority of formats.

McClellan scored two points (1-1 FG) in three minutes in a 120-98 win over the Thunder on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Even with the Wizards holding a 28-point lead entering the fourth quarter, McClellan wasn't able to pick up much run. The undrafted rookie held a minor role in the rotation for much of January, but he's since fallen out of the picture for playing time in competitive contests.

McClellan (coach's decision) didn't see the floor in a 107-94 win over the Pelicans on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
The Wizards only held a one-point lead heading into the fourth quarter, so coach Scott Brooks ran a tight nine-man rotation, leaving no room for McClellan. Though the undrafted rookie has been in the rotation for the most part since late December, it appears he's been passed up on the depth chart recently by Tomas Satoransky. If McClellan fails to play in multiple games in a row, the Wizards could send him to the D-League to pick up more extended minutes.

McClellan will move back to the bench for Monday's game against the Rockets.
EDGE Analysis
McClellan was merely a placeholder for Bradley Beal (ankle) during Beal's one-game absence Friday against the Nets. Now back in his normal role as a reserve, McClellan will struggle for playing time as he's averaging just 13.7 minutes per game during his rookie season.

McClellan will start at shooting guard Friday against the Nets.
EDGE Analysis
McClellan ran with the starters during morning shootaround, and with the Wizards ruling out Bradley Beal (ankle) about 90 minutes prior to tip off, the undrafted rookie will pick up his third start of the season, and first since Nov. 16. In those two contests, McClellan averaged 10.5 points in 27.5 minutes, but he's not a safe bet to see nearly that much amount of time Friday. McClellan only ended up logging seven minutes in the Wizards' previous game Wednesday against the Pacers, despite Beal being held out for the entire second half with the injury.

McClellan worked with the starters at shootaround and could run with the top unit Friday against the Nets if Bradley Beal (ankle) is sidelined, Candace Buckner of The Washington Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Beal didn't participate in shootaround and is a game-time decision Friday, but given his extensive injury history, it wouldn't be surprising if he sat out. If that's the case, McClellan, who started the second half of Wednesday's win over the Pacers when Beal exited earlier with a sprained ankle, would likely be in line for some increased run Friday. However, given that McClellan only ended up logging seven minutes Wednesday, he may only act as a placeholder if he starts, allowing coach Scott Brooks to keep his second unit intact. Fellow reserves Kelly Oubre and Marcus Thornton are safer bets to see spikes in usage if Beal sits out.

McClellan tallied seven points (2-3 FG, 3-4 FT), two rebounds, one assist and one block across 19 minutes during Wednesday's 107-97 victory over Chicago.
EDGE Analysis
McClellan had seen a total of one minute of action over the last 17 games, but after Otto Porter (back) left the game, McClellan got thrown into a much larger role and even started the second half. The extent of Porter's injury is not yet known, but if he is forced to miss time, McClellan will likely see his role increase.
