Nembhard has been active for 44 games at the NBA level this season, meaning he can suit up just six more times before the Mavericks would need to convert him from a two-way deal to a standard contract for him to play again in 2025-26. The Mavericks acquired Tyus Jones ahead of Thursday's trade deadline to bolster their depth at point guard and lessen the need to lean as heavily on Nembhard off the bench. Until he's called up to the parent club again, Nembhard should still continue to get steady run in the G League. He made his first appearance for the G League's Texas Legends since Nov. 11 in Friday's 115-105 loss to the Stockton Kings, playing 38 minutes and finishing with 24 points (11-24 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 0-1 FT), nine assists, five rebounds and one steal.

Nembhard recorded three points (1-4 FG, 1-2 3Pt) and three assists in 12 minutes during Tuesday's 110-100 loss to the Celtics.

Even with both Brandon Williams (leg) and D'Angelo Russell (illness) sidelined, Nembhard was unable to make the most of his opportunity. In what has been a roller coaster of a rookie season, it appears as though Nembhard could struggle to play meaningful minutes, at least for the foreseeable future. With that said, he is someone to keep an eye on, especially if Dallas opts to throw in the towel at any point.

Nembhard ended Saturday's 111-107 loss to the Rockets with zero points (0-4 FG, 0-2 3Pt), one rebound, three assists and one block across 11 minutes.

EDGE Analysis

Nembhard failed to score for the second straight game, continuing to play a modest role as the third-string point guard. In six appearances over the past two weeks, the rookie has averaged just 2.8 points and 3.2 assists in 11.3 minutes per game, leaving him well outside the top 300 in standard formats. With that said, Brandon Williams suffered a knee injury during the loss, forcing him to leave the game prematurely. If he misses any time moving forward, Nembhard could be back on the streaming radar for anyone needing assists.

Nembhard recorded four points (2-7 FG, 0-1 3Pt), three rebounds, five assists and one steal over 21 minutes during Monday's 114-97 win over the Knicks.

EDGE Analysis

Although Nembhard has maintained a sizable role since shifting to the bench, his fantasy appeal remains very low. Across his last eight games, he's seen 20.7 minutes per contest with 7.0 points, 5.6 assists, 2.5 rebounds and 1.0 three-pointers on 38.9 percent shooting from the field.

Jaden Hardy will join the starting five, pushing Nembhard to the second unit. The undrafted rookie has come off the bench in nine games so far this season, during which he has averaged 3.3 points and 3.0 assists in 12.2 minutes per tilt.
