Rudy Gobert 2018-19 Player Outlook rotoballer.com Mon 9/17/18 1:07 PM
Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert will hope to continue his defensive dominance in the upcoming fantasy season and will look to stay healthy throughout the 82-game schedule. Gobert missed 26 games last season due to injury yet still managed to take home the Defensive Player Of The Year award because of his dominance when he does take the court. Gobert saw a dip in many numbers last season as his rebound totals went from 12.8 to 10.7 per contest and we saw his blocks take a slight hit from 2.8 to 2.3[...]

With the 2018-2019 season approaching, we're ready to start rolling out NBA preview content for you guys, our readers. I believe that H2H Fantasy Basketball is right up there with Roto Baseball as the most skill-testing fantasy format and punting strategies are a huge reason why - they are simple to learn, hard to master, and are incredibly rewarding when you execute them properly.
Welcome to Part 3 of a large RotoBaller series on Punting in Head-to-Head fantasy basketball leagues. This is ou[...]

Pick & Roll Kings: A Short List of Top NBA Duos in 2018-2019 rotoballer.com Wed 8/29/18 5:44 AM
One of the most fundamental plays in basketball is the pick and roll. Although it is simple, it is also effective. As a Houston resident, there is no play that got me more hyped watching the Rockets than James Harden slipping a bounce pass between his legs to Clint Capela, leaping to the rim to throw down a thunderous dunk.
Every player should understand the pick and roll action. Thus, even with the offseason shuffle, running pick and roll with new teammates shouldn't be extraordinarily deman[...]
Waiver Priority and FAAB in Fantasy Basketball rotoballer.com Mon 8/20/18 6:36 AM
Donovan Mitchell went undrafted in the majority of fantasy basketball leagues last season, and finished the season as a top 50 player. How did Mitchell end up on his owner's team? Was he added using a waiver claim? Did the owner have to spend FAAB (free agent acquisition budget) dollars to acquire him? Or, as was the case with the vast majority of players added in fantasy basketball, was Donovan Mitchell picked up as a free agent, freely available to anyone on first-come, first-serve basis?

Rudy Gobert Gets Five Blocks In Loss rotoballer.com Tue 5/8/18 11:58 PM
Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert was able to swat five shots, but it was not enough as the Jazz were eliminated from the playoffs. Gobert was decent on the offensive end converting on 5-for-9 shots to finish with 12 points, while hauling down nine rebounds and adding a steal. The Jazz needed Gobert to dominate at both ends in this series, but the Rockets proved to be too much for the big man. Gobert once again has some early-round value next season, but with chronic health issues, potential owners s[...]
Rudy Gobert Notches Another Double-Double In Loss rotoballer.com Mon 5/7/18 12:16 AM
Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert recorded his second double-double of the series in his club's 13-point loss in Game 4. Gobert scored 11 points to go along with 10 rebounds and was able to swat three shots in this one. Gobert was again outplayed by Clint Capela and was a team-worse minus-27 on the night. The Rockets have kept the French big man in place in this series and for the Jazz to have any chance in Game 5, we need to see Gobert have more of a presence at both ends.
Rudy Gobert Scores 12 Points In Game 3 rotoballer.com Sat 5/5/18 12:19 AM
Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert had another sub-par game in his club's second loss of the series against the Houston Rockets. Gobert connected on 6-for-8 from the floor en route to 12 points and he just missed out on a double-double with grabbing nine rebounds. He added a couple blocked shots and two assists to top off his line. Gobert has been quiet in two of the three games this series and the Jazz have happened to lose those ones. Gobert needs to be aggressive at the offensive end to make him a [...]
Rudy Gobert Notches A Double-Double In Game 2 Win rotoballer.com Thu 5/3/18 12:37 AM
Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert put up a double-double in his team's 116-108 win over the Houston Rockets in Game 2. Gobert was excellent grabbing a game-high 14 rebounds and converting on 15 points on 5-for-7 from the floor. Gobert was much more involved on the offensive end in this one setting more effective ball screens but still had trouble containing Clint Capela at the other end. Gobert should continue to trend up as his better play was a major difference in this contest but he is still a que[...]
Rudy Gobert Quiet In Season Opener rotoballer.com Mon 4/30/18 12:25 AM
Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert attempted just four shots in his club's Game 1 loss to the Houston Rockets. Gobert was able to connect on all four of his attempts from the floor to finish with 11 points and was able to haul down nine boards on the night. His stat line looks better then he actually played as he did not attempt his first field goal until 8:35 remaining in the fourth quarter and was outplayed by Clint Capela throughout the game. [...]
