Covington put up 15 points (5-13 FG, 4-10 3Pt, 1-2 FT), four rebounds, four steals and two assists in 34 minutes Sunday in the Timberwolves' 118-103 win over the Cavaliers.
EDGE Analysis
The Timberwolves returned four players (Andrew Wiggins, Jeff Teague, Noah Vonleh and Treveon Graham) from injury or illness Sunday, but the added bodies didn't seem to impact Covington, who cleared 30 minutes for the sixth straight game. With averages of 14.8 points, 7.8 rebounds, 2.8 triples, 2.3 steals, 1.8 assists and 1.3 blocks over that span, Covington has given coach Ryan Saunders little reason to reduce his role now that Minnesota has most of its key contributors back, save for star big man Karl-Anthony Towns (knee).

Covington collected 20 points (8-15 FG, 4-11 3Pt), 10 rebounds, two assists, two steals and two blocks in 30 minutes during Thursday's 99-84 win over the Warriors.
EDGE Analysis
Covington made a splash in every statistical category while amassing his third double-double through 33 appearances this season. His name continues to be mentioned in trade rumors thanks to his ability to hit the trey and defend multiple positions. Regardless of whether he's dealt or not, Covington is well-rounded enough to rely on for most fantasy formats.

Covington generated seven points (2-4 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 11 rebounds, three assists, three steals and one block in 33 minutes during Wednesday's 106-104 loss to the Bucks.
EDGE Analysis
Covington matched his season high in rebounding while amassing at least three steals for the fifth time in his last 12 games. He's easily the team's top defensive presence, plus more often than not Covington reaches double figures in scoring. As such, he likely makes for a fine option for Thursday's tilt versus the Warriors.

Covington had 14 points (5-13 FG, 3-9 3PT, 1-2 FT), seven rebounds, three assists, four steals and one block in 35 minutes during Saturday's 94-88 defeat against the Cavaliers.
EDGE Analysis
Covington's scoring figures remain inconsistent and his shooting struggles are persistent, as the veteran small forward has made just 40.0 percent of his shots and 21.4 percent of his threes over his last five games. That said, he remains fantasy relevant due to his ability to fill the stat sheet and contribute on both ends of the court. He will try to remain on that role Monday against the Nets.

Covington ended with 19 points (8-19 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 1-2 FT), eight rebounds, two blocks and one steal in 40 minutes during Thursday's 105-104 victory over the Kings.
EDGE Analysis
Covington was coming off arguably his worst performance of the season but managed to turn things around. He scored 19 points in the double-overtime win, second only to Gorgui Dieng. The 40 minutes are obviously on the high side and were as a result of the two extra periods. He has been difficult to hold onto this season given his on-court efforts. He remains a buy-low candidate and perhaps this can get him trending in the right direction.

Covington had 10 points (5-9 FG, 0-4 3PT), six rebounds, two steals and one assist in 23 minutes during Friday's 109-100 loss at Denver.
EDGE Analysis
Covington returned to the starting unit after coming off the bench in his previous outing and while he couldn't repeat what he did the last time out, at the very least he extended his streak of scoring 10 or more points to eight in nine games. Despite being a "do-it-all" kind of player, Covington continues to disappoint in most fantasy formats due to his inability to stand out in any particular category.

Covington finished with 15 points (5-17 FG, 3-11 3Pt, 2-3 FT), seven rebounds, three steals, two assists and one block in 30 minutes during Wednesday's 107-99 loss to the Pelicans.
EDGE Analysis
Covington shifted to the bench Wednesday for apparently being late to a team function. Despite the move, Covington had one of his better all-around games of the season. With no Karl-Anthony Towns (knee) on the floor, there were certainly more shots to go around. Covington soaked up his fair share, attempting 17, second only to Andrew Wiggins. Covington has been a source of frustration for many this season and the hope is that he can find some rhythm on the offensive end moving forward.

Covington is not starting Wednesday against the Pelicans.
EDGE Analysis
Covington will come off the bench for the first time all season, with Treveon Graham getting the start in his place. He's averaging 13.4 points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.4 steals in 30.6 minutes since the start of December.

Covington tallied 16 points (4-8 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 5-5 FT), four rebounds, three steals and one block across 28 minutes Sunday in the Timberwolves' 142-125 loss to the Lakers.
EDGE Analysis
Covington took on a low-volume role on offense in the blowout loss, but he was at least able to shoot efficiently and up his production in the defensive categories after some lighter showings in that area of late. Through the first four games of December, Covington is averaging 16.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.3 triples, 1.3 steals and 1.0 assist in 31.3 minutes.

Covington ended with 15 points (6-11 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), seven rebounds and two assists in 38 minutes during Friday's 139-127 loss to Oklahoma City.
EDGE Analysis
Covington failed to record a defensive stat Friday, however, he did manage to score in double-digits for the third straight game. Perhaps the biggest takeaway was the fact he played a season-high 38 minutes. The lack of playing time has been a curious development for Covington and something that may be attributed to a lingering knee concern. Despite everything, Convington is still the 51st ranked player in nine-category leagues.
