Covington notched 20 points (7-14 FG, 6-11 3Pt), 13 rebounds, two assists, two steals and two blocks in 34 minutes during Monday's 125-123 loss at New York.
EDGE Analysis
Covington has scored in double digits in eight of his first 10 games with the Rockets since being traded from the Timberwolves, but he has also averaged 8.4 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 1.2 steals and 2.5 blocks during that stretch. He's shooting just 36.4 percent from deep and that could improve, but until now, Covington has been doing exactly what the team needs from him on both ends of the court.

Covington ended with 16 points (6-12 FG, 4-10 3Pt), 16 rebounds, three blocks and a steal in 39 minutes during Saturday's 111-110 victory over the Celtics.
EDGE Analysis
Covington reaped the benefits of the Celtics' poor shot selection, grabbing a career-high 16 boards and blocking three shots for the sixth game in a row. The 29-year-old also provided on the offensive end, extending his run of contests with 10-plus points to three. Covington ended his first month with the Rockets averaging 12.8 points, 7.6 rebounds and 2.5 blocks.

Covington posted 11 points (4-10 FG, 3-8 3Pt), seven rebounds, four blocks, one steal and one assist across 30 minutes during Monday's 123-112 victory over the Knicks.
EDGE Analysis
Covington continues to be a shockingly-good shot-blocker for the Rockets, who have often deployed him as a small-ball center. He tied his season-high four blocks Monday, and he's averaging 2.6 blocks since joining the Rockets, not to mention 1.1 steals. Since his rookie 2013-14 season, Covington has the most performances in the league with at least two threes, two steals and two blocks (32). The next highest are Danny Green and James Harden, who have 26 apiece.

Covington tallied 20 points (7-13 FG, 5-10 3Pt, 1-1 FT), five rebounds, four blocked shots and an assist across 27 minutes in Thursday's 135-105 win over the Warriors.
EDGE Analysis
Covington is making Mike D'Antoni look like a genius. The new acquisition is the glue that holds Houston's small-ball scheme together, as he's combining his well-regarded defensive skills with substantial offensive contributions. His plus-31 plus-minus Thursday is evidence of his tremendous impact. A steady forward with offensive pop at the wing is what the Rockets have been missing in recent seasons, and it appears Covington might be the answer.

Covington ended with 12 points (3-11 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 4-5 FT), seven rebounds, four blocks, three assists and three steals in 38 minutes during Tuesday's 116-105 victory over the Celtics.
EDGE Analysis
Covington continues to shine for his new team, turning in a vintage performance Tuesday. He has been a perfect addition for the Rockets and the playing would indicate he was being underutilized in Minnesota. His scoring is typically going to hover around 12-15 points per game but it is the supporting stats that provide the base for his overall value. He could be a second-round player moving forward, especially given the Rockets are going to give him all the run he can handle.

Covington chipped in 14 points (5-12 FG, 4-10 3Pt), five rebounds, a steal and a block Sunday night in the Rockets' 114-113 loss to Utah.
EDGE Analysis
Covington started for the second straight game and has seemingly stepped into his full role. This may be an accurate representation of Covington's production going forward, as Houston will likely ask him to live beyond the arc and have active hands on defense.

Covington compiled 14 points (5-9 FG, 4-7 3Pt), eight rebounds, four assists, two steals and two blocked shots across 30 minutes in Thursday's 121-11 win over the Lakers.
EDGE Analysis
If there was any question as to how the former Timberwolf would produce as a Rocket, those queries were silenced Thursday. Covington looked right at home in coach Mike D'Antoni's new small-ball scheme, and it' s probably only a matter of time before he enters the starting lineup instead of Eric Gordon. Not only is Covington a well-regarded defender, but he can create his own shot in space and possesses a deadly three-point shot. He showcased that skill with four drained threes in the win. Fantasy owners in leagues without a trade deadline should take notice, as the talented forward looks set to have an excellent second half of the season.

Covington will come off the bench Thursday against the Lakers, Kelly Iko of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Covington was dealt to the Rockets as part of a four-team deal on Tuesday, and while he's ready to make his team debut Thursday evening, he won't immediately join the starting lineup. Danuel House figures to draw another start at power forward.
