Spalding totaled 20 points (8-12 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 4-7 FT), 14 rebounds, four steals and four assists in the win Wednesday over Westchester.
EDGE Analysis
The two-way player has spent the majority of the season in the G League, averaging 15.3 points, 9.0 rebounds, 2.1 blocks, 1.7 assists and 1.6 steals through 24 games. An astounding 51.2 percent field goal percentage should come with a grain of salt, as the power forward has done most of his damage in the paint, and his 2.5 turnover rate certainly isn't good given the (lack) of times he's touching the ball, but at 21 years old, Spalding figures to grow into his game as he gets older.

Spalding scored 13 points (5-17 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 2-6 FT) and earned 15 rebounds along with seven assists, two blocks and two steals in the loss Wednesday to South Bay.
EDGE Analysis
The center has been a statistical force this season, averaging 16.0 points, 9.6 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 1.5 steals and 2.3 blocks through eight games this season. Spalding figures to be a fantastic fantasy asset so long as he's in the G League, but the two-way player could wind up on the Mavericks at some point, particularly if their record drops in the second half of the 2018 campaign.

The Mavericks assigned Spalding to the G League's Texas Legends on Monday, Eddie Sefko of The Dallas Morning News reports.
EDGE Analysis
Spalding has only appeared in one of the Mavericks' six games to date, logging a single minute of action. Given his status as a rookie second-round pick who isn't a member of coach Rick Carlisle's rotation, it's hardly a surprise that the forward will head to the G League. Expect Spalding to receive significant playing time so long as he remains with the Legends.

Spalding scored two points (1-1 FG) while adding three rebounds and two steals in eight minutes during Monday's preseason win against the 76ers.
EDGE Analysis
The rookie big man made a nice impact in limited minutes Monday. The 56th overall draft pick in the 2018 draft signed a four-year deal over the offseason, suggesting that the Mavs see something in him. However, presently, he is buried on the depth chart and will likely only have a limited role off the bench while possibly splitting time with the Maverick's G-league affiliate the Texas Legends. For fantasy purposes, unless there are significant injuries to the Mavs' frontcourt, Spalding will likely be off the radar except in keeper leagues.

Spalding agreed to a four-year deal with the Mavericks on Thursday, Shams Charania of Yahoo Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Spalding was the No. 56 overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft after three solid seasons at Louisville where he averaged 8.1 points and 6.3 rebounds over 100 games. A route to playing time behind Dirk Nowitzki and DeAndre Jordan will be tough to find for Spalding, as Dwight Powell and Maxi Kleber are the current favorites to soak up reserve frontcourt minutes.

Spalding will play for the Mavericks' summer league team, Bobby Karalla of Mavs.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Spalding was selected by the 76ers with the 56th overall pick of the draft, but was ultimately dealt to the Mavericks shortly after its completion. He'll now suit up for the organization's summer league team and a strong showing from Spalding would give him a better chance of making the final roster. Spalding has the potential to become a defensive specialist, but he'd definitely help himself if he showed some sort of offensive game during summer league.
