Beverley expects to play in Tuesday's Game 5 against the Spurs following the passing of his grandfather Sunday, Marc J. Spears of ESPN.com reports.

While he'll likely take Monday off to spend time with his family, Beverley should be in San Antonio on Tuesday to take on his usual starting role. Over nine appearances in the playoffs, Beverley is averaging 10.6 points (on 38.7% shooting), 5.7 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 1.8 steals and 1.7 three-pointers in 28.0 minutes per contest.

Beverley scored 15 points (6-10 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT) and added eight rebounds, three assists and one steal in 27 minutes during Tuesday's Game 5 105-99 win over the Thunder.

EDGE Analysis

After starting the series with two good offensive games, Beverley struggled with his shot in Games 3 and 4. He went a combined 2-19 (10.5%) from the floor in the contests, scoring a total of just seven points. He recovered in Game 5, outscoring the combination of all three of the other starters not named James Harden. Whether the Rockets face the Spurs or the Grizzlies in the next round, Beverley's defensive assignment will be easier than Russell Westbrook, the league leader in scoring.

Beverley posted one point (0-6 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 1-2 FT), seven rebounds and two assists across 25 minutes during a 115-113 loss to the Thunder on Friday.

Beverley had by far his worst game of the series as he totaled just one point before fouling out in 25 minutes in the loss. He had scored a combined total of 36 points in the first two games of the series, and that type of performance should be expected in the remaining game of the series. Expect him to bounce back in the next one.

Beverley produced 21 points (8-13 FG, 4-6 3Pt, 1-2 FT), 10 rebounds, three assists and two steals across just 25 minutes during Sunday's 118-87 win over the Thunder in Game 1.

EDGE Analysis

Each of Beverley's most well-known attributes were on display in this one en route to the best postseason game of his career. He sent the crowd into a frenzy in the first half with a series of three-point makes and took several trips to the floor as he put his body on the line, including one brutal collision with Steven Adams as he set a screen for Russell Westbrook. Beverley briefly went to the locker room at one point, but he returned to the bench, although he was not needed as the score tilted in his team's favor in the latter stages. He will likely receive some attention from the trainers ahead of Game 2, but there is nothing to suggest his availability should be in question.

Beverley (shoulder) isn't listed on the Rockets' injury report ahead of Wednesday's game against the Timberwolves.

Rockets coach Mike D'Antoni previously said last weekend that he didn't intend to hold out Beverley over the team's final few games of the season, but the point guard ended up sitting out Monday against the Clippers with what was labeled as a stinger. It's worthwhile to check back on the statuses of Beverley and the team's other key contributors following morning shootaround Wednesday, but it looks as though the Rockets are planning to have everyone available for the regular-season finale Wednesday, save for Sam Dekker (hand).

Beverley is dealing with a shoulder injury and will sit out Monday's game against the Clippers, Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle reports.

It's being labeled a stinger and sounds like a very minor injury for Beverley, so his status for the playoffs doesn't appear to be in jeopardy. That said, he'll get the night off for rest on Monday, which could mean Eric Gordon moves into the backcourt to combo with James Harden. Beverley could return as soon as Wednesday's regular-season finale against the Timberwolves, although look for his status to be updated later in the week.

As expected, Beverley's scoring has taken a hit with James Harden suiting up for the last two contests following a one-game absence due to an illness, but the point guard has remained plenty useful for fantasy owners thanks to his strong work on the glass. After hauling in 11 boards in Wednesday's game against the Nuggets, Beverley upped the ante Friday with 13 rebounds, which gave him a new career high. Though the Rockets have sewn up the No. 3 spot in the Western Conference, coach Mike D'Antoni indicated that neither Beverley nor Harden will be rested over the team's final three games after both declined the opportunity to sit out, according to the Associated Press. That should make Beverley a worthy activation in season-long leagues the rest of the way, though he could be at risk of seeing his minutes pared back a bit.

Beverley provided 26 points (11-19 FG, 4-9 3Pt) nine assists, eight rebounds and one steal over 35 minutes in Sunday's 123-116 win over the Suns.

EDGE Analysis

As expected, Beverley saw a considerable boost in usage with James Harden (illness) sidelined and produced a career-high scoring total in the process. The 28-year-old also put up a season high in shot attempts and got hot from three-point range, draining four long-range buckets for the third time in the last seven contests. Beverley does have double-digit scoring totals in three of the last four games, but despite the stellar outing, his production is highly likely to see notable downturn when Harden returns to the lineup, which could be as soon as Houston's next tilt against the Nuggets on Wednesday evening.

Beverley supplied nine points (2-6 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 5-5 FT), eight rebounds and three assists over 33 minutes in Thursday's 117-107 loss to the Warriors.

EDGE Analysis

Beverley served his usual complementary role in the offense while also producing his best rebound total since March 6. The fifth-year pro has double-digit scoring in three of his last five games but was also held scoreless over 28 minutes against the Thunder last Sunday, an example of how volatile his offensive contributions can be at times. Beverley still provides generally reliable production in the areas of rebounds and assists, however, and his defensive prowess allows him to offer serviceable returns in the steals category as well.

EDGE Analysis

Beverley was struggling from the perimeter recently, hitting just six total triples in a six-game stretch from March 8-18. He has heated up in a hurry, however, dropping in eight 3-pointers over his past two games. He is averaging 15.5 points, 6.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists over the past two outings.
