Wolves sign F Othyus Jeffers. Jeffers has been averaging 20.9 points, 9.9 assists and 3.6 rebounds in the D-League, and he's being called up as an emergency measure with the Wolves severely short-handed. He gives them 10 active players and may crack the rotation, but there's no fantasy value to be had here.

ESPN's Marc Stein is reporting the Timberwolves are in the process of signing F Othyus Jeffers to a 10-day deal out of the D-League. With several injuries (Chase Budinger, Kevin Martin, Nikola Pekovic) and Dante Cunninham's (arrest) legal problems, the Wolves are going to need healthy bodies to finish out the season. Add in Kevin Love's back problem, and this move makes sense. Love is expected to play on Tuesday, but don't be surprised to see Jeffers land in Minnesota, and possibly make an impact over the last couple games of the season.

Othyus Jeffers was released by the Spurs on Saturday. He started at SG on Wednesday with both Kawhi Leonard and Danny Green unavailable due to hand injuries, but the Spurs have found a better fill-in by signing Shannon Brown. Jeffers was never a fantasy option.
