Laprovittola (mouth) will be available to play in Wednesday's matchup with the Hornets, Jeff McDonald of San Antonio Express-News reports.
EDGE Analysis
Laprovittola had a tooth extraction performed earlier in the week and he was unable to suit up for Monday's outing versus the Mavericks. However, he's progressed to the point where he'll be available to play off the bench, but considering he hasn't seen the court during the team's last six games, that doesn't guarantee he'll see any minutes on Wednesday.

Laprovittola had a dental procedure performed recently and will sit out Monday's game against the Mavericks, Tom Orsborn of San Antonio Express-News reports.
EDGE Analysis
According to coach Gregg Popovich the procedure was something along the lines of a tooth extraction, which will keep Laprovittola out at least Monday's outing versus the Mavericks. After seeing extended minutes in multiple games throughout the early portion of the regular season, Laprovittola hasn't seen the court at all over the team's last five games and appears to have fallen out of the regular rotation entirely.

Laprovittola tallied 12 points (4-5 FG, 3-4 3Pt), five assists and two rebounds across 22 minutes in Saturday's 116-92 loss to the Clippers.
EDGE Analysis
Laprovittola has entered the rotation for the last two games with Tony Parker (knee) sitting out, and with Parker expected to miss a few more games beyond Saturday, the Argentinian import should continue to serve as the main backup to Patty Mills. While he was able to take advantage of Saturday's season-high minutes count to produce the first double-digit scoring outing of his career, Laprovittola's nightly ceiling doesn't appear to be much higher than this. His already-limited fantasy value will disappear almost completely once Parker returns.

Laprovittola was able to claim a spot on the Spurs' 15-man roster heading into the regular season, Jeff McDonald of the San Antonio Express-News reports.
EDGE Analysis
Laprovittola drew some attention for his play with Argentina in the 2016 Summer Olympic, and was able to carry over that success to training camp with the Spurs, impressing the team brass with how he was able to direct the offense. While Laprovittola doesn't profile as a long-term successor at point guard to the aging Tony Parker, he'll provide the team with some experienced depth at the position. That may allow rookie Dejounte Murray to see some more extended run in the D-League this season.
