Nedovic was waived by the Warriors on Tuesday, Rusty Simmons of the San Francisco Chronicle reports. The writing was on the wall for this move once the Warriors declined to pick up Nedovic's third-year option at the end of last month. Instead of becoming a free agent this coming summer, he'll hit the market two weeks into his second NBA season. The player referred to as the "Derrick Rose of Europe" never caught on with Golden State, which selected him with the 30th pick of the 2013 draft, appearing in only 24 games last season and none in 2014-15. He may draw mild interest from other NBA teams, though a return to Europe is probably the most likely scenario.

Nedovic started at point guard in Sunday's loss to the Rockets. He scored 16 points (6-of-10 FG, 1-of-2 3Pt, 3-of-3 FT) with one rebound and five assists in 23 minutes. Head coach Steve Kerr rested his starting backcourt, so playing time was available for Nedovic, whose regular-season role is not quite defined at this point.

Nedovic earned the praise of head coach Steve Kerr following Tuesday's preseason win over the Clippers, the San Francisco Chronicle reports. "That's the best I've seen Nedo play," Kerr said. "The thing with Nedo is that he just needs to run the team. He doesn't need to score, but we love the way he pushes the ball. He really attacked and put pressure on the defense." Nedovic's agent mouthed off to a Serbian website a few days ago that the Warriors weren't giving his client a fair shot, but the guard went out and dropped 12 points and three assists in 15 minutes in the win over the Clippers. The Warriors are motivated to find a role for Nedovic, who isn't a true point guard but also didn't shoot well when healthy last season. If he can continue to push the pace on the second unit, Nedovic could carve out something in the rotation, particularly early on with Shaun Livingston's status uncertain while recovering from surgery on his toe.

Nedovic scored 12 points (3-of-6 FG, 1-of-3 3Pt, 5-of-6 FT) with three assists, a steal and a blocked shot in 15 minutes in Tuesday night's preseason opener against the Clippers. Nedovic's summer was best known for a foot injury that forced him to miss the FIBA World Cup tournament. His role this season is unclear, particularly with a crowded backcourt.

Nedovic, who had foot injury during the summer, was cleared for practice five days before training camp, the San Francisco Chronicle reports. He had a fractured bone on his right foot and still has a crack on the outside of the foot, but said he's not feeling any pain. Head coach Steve Kerr said Nedovic is "physically gifted" and that the Serbian guard is trying to figure out a role and how he best fits on the roster.

Nedovic has been ruled out of the FIBA World Cup due to a lingering injury to his right foot, CSN Bay Area reports. Nedovic suffered a foot injury while playing with Serbia's national team earlier in August. The injury was originally reported as a stress fracture, but an MRI revealed no fracture. Still, the injury is bad enough to prevent him from playing in the tournament.

Nedovic, whose recent foot injury raised the possibility of surgery, apparently avoided suffering any fracture, as additional testing following an inconclusive MRI revealed, Sportando reports. Nedovic was thought to have suffered a stress fracture of the fifth metatarsal in his right foot, an ailment that could have required surgery. However, after an initial MRI failed to produce a definitive diagnosis, additional testing by Serbian national team doctor Dragan Radovanovic revealed no fracture at all. Now, Nedovic's test results have been sent to the Warriors in hopes of clearing him to play for Serbia in this summer's FIBA World Cup. Although Golden State won't want to risk further injury, the 23-year-old Nedovic could use extra playing experience going into his second NBA season, so the Warriors' decision will be interesting to monitor.

Nedovic suffered a stress fracture of the fifth metatarsal and will not be able to play for Serbia in the upcoming World Cup, sportando.com reports. Nedovic(stress fracture) suffered the injury while playing during a tournament in Trieste. The 6'3" PG was trying to gain some international experience and improve his stock for the Warriors this upcoming season before the injury took place. In just 24 games, he averaged 1.1 points, .5 assists, and shot just under 17% from deep. The Warriors have let him know that he needs to improve his play this summer and try to control his injuries if he wants to have any future with the team. The stress fracture is likely to be a huge setback for Nedovic and may force the Warriors' hand in moving on to find a new backup point guard.
