McGary (suspension) will be waived by the Thunder on Monday, Shams Charania of Yahoo! Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
A first round pick in the 2014 NBA draft, McGary never developed into the player the Thunder hoped and also dealt with some character issues that aided in him being suspended for the first 15 games of the upcoming season. The Thunder have decided he's run out of chances and will be waived Monday, but it doesn't really change the Thunders' regular rotation as McGary likely wasn't going to see the court much. He's expected to resume his career in China or Europe for the time being.

McGary will be available for Sunday's preseason game against the Timberwolves.
EDGE Analysis
McGary has dealt with a sore foot throughout the preseason schedule, but could make his debut Sunday now that he's been cleared for a return to the court. With that said, he should be good to go for the start of the regular season, although he's slated to miss the first 15 games of the season while on a suspension. McGary will enter the 2016-17 campaign as a deep reserve in the frontcourt and currently isn't expected to be a part of the Thunders' regular rotation.

McGary (foot) has been ruled out of Thursday's preseason game against the Grizzlies, Royce Young of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
McGary has yet to see any preseason action while dealing with a sore foot and is still without a concrete timetable for a return. He's not guaranteed a spot on the final regular season roster, as he's slated to miss the first 15 games of the regular season while on suspension and has been unable to get back to full strength. McGary's next opportunity to play will be Sunday against the Timberwolves, but his practice availability over the next few days should give us a better indication of his status for that outing.

McGary (foot) will not play in Tuesday's preseason game against the Mavericks, the Norman Transcript reports.
EDGE Analysis
McGary missed both of the Thunder's games in Spain last week due to soreness in his right foot, and coach Billy Donovan intimated Tuesday that the ailment is still persisting. As such, McGary will remain out, and it's unclear when he'll make his season debut. The Michigan product is facing a pair of suspensions for non-compliance with the league's drug policy, so he'll be ineligible for the first 15 games of the regular season.

McGary has been suspended an additional 10 games to begin the 2016-17 season for non-compliance with the NBA's drug policy, The Vertical reports.
EDGE Analysis
McGary had already been facing a five-game suspension for a violation of the policy back in July, so he'll now be ineligible for the first 15 games of the season. It's another setback for the former Michigan star, who faced a drug-related suspension in college prior to entering the draft. While he's played only sparingly over the last two seasons, McGary remains a relatively high-upside prospect, but it's unclear if the Thunder still consider him part of their long-term plans. Despite parting ways with Kevin Durant and Serge Ibaka over the summer, Oklahoma City has plenty of depth in the frontcourt, so it wouldn't be a surprise if GM Sam Presti explores the idea of moving McGary at some point.

McGary (suspension) could be at risk of losing his roster spot before the start of the upcoming season, Royce Young of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
With the Thunder acquiring Joffrey Lauvergne from the Nuggets on Tuesday, the team now has 16 guaranteed contracts on the books for 2016-17. It's likely that the team will cut a frontcourt player as a result, with the underachieving McGary the most likely victim. Last season, the 2014 first-round pick saw his number of appearances (20) and minutes per game (3.6) both drop considerably from his rookie year, and has already been suspended for the first five games of the upcoming season due to a violation of the NBA's drug policy. Only an impressive training camp might be able to save McGary from getting waived.

McGary averaged 14.0 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game in four Orlando Summer League contests.
EDGE Analysis
McGary scored in double-figures in all four games, highlighted by an 18-point, nine-rebound performance in a win over the Clippers on July 3. The Michigan product will miss the first five games of the regular season due to a violation of the NBA's drug policy, but he'll attempt to work his way into the rotation after appearing in only 20 games in 2015-16. Even after the departure of Serge Ibaka, McGary faces an uphill battle, as Ersan Ilyasova, Domantas Sabonis and Enes Kanter each sit ahead of him on the depth chart.

McGary was suspended for five games Friday for violating the NBA's drug policy, Royce Young of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Fighting injuries, McGary has struggled to find a consistent spot in the Thunder's rotation since joining the league two years ago. This suspension certainly won't help the 24-year-old's cause heading into his third NBA season, as after serving his suspension, McGary will have to earn his way back into back into the rotation of the fairly crowded Oklahoma City frontcourt.

McGary (coach's decision) was inactive for Monday's 108-102 Game 1 win over the Warriors.
EDGE Analysis
McGary appears to be firmly entrenched as the Thunder's 14th or 15th man, meaning that he'll be inactive for the rest of the playoffs so long as the team doesn't lose any players to injury. The big man's last appearance with the Thunder came all the way back on March 18.

McGary remains inactive for Thursday's Game 3 against the Mavericks, Anthony Slater of The Oklahoman reports.
EDGE Analysis
McGary, who took a leave of absence from the team near the end of the regular season, will not dress for the third consecutive game, and he'll be joined in street clothes by veteran center Nazr Mohammed. Josh Huestis will be active as the Thunder's 13th man.
