Mike Conley will not play in Monday's game due to flu-like symptoms. Jerryd Bayless will start and we've seen what he can do in the past when given the minutes (if you don't remember he was a top-10 play for a stretch last season). We're not saying he'll do it again tonight, but he won't be shy and is an excellent spot-start.

Mike Conley bounced back after a tough start against Chris Paul and the Clippers on Wednesday, taking a much softer Warriors unit to the hole for 21 points, three rebounds, seven assists, and five steals. Conley hit 5-of-9 shots with three treys and hit all eight of his free throws, and we weren't concerned about him in the slightest. He has been perhaps the most consistent player in the association the last three years and is poised to take a step forward this season.

Mike Conley hit just 2-of-10 shots for seven points, three rebounds, five assists, three steals, a 3-pointer and six turnovers in 34 minutes of Wednesday's loss to the Clippers. Maybe it was Chris Paul, or maybe it was the pressure of opening night. Whatever the case, Conley has been a very consistent fantasy point guard and we expect him to put up solid numbers again this season. Now is a great time to target his owner with a buy-low bid.

Mike Conley scored 12 points including two triples, while adding nine assists and two steals in 25 minutes on Wednesday. Conley is averaging 2.0 threes in his six preseason games. He was second in steals last year, so a sizable increase to 1.0 threes made last season would make him a near lock for top-10 value among point guards.

Mike Conley scored 20 points on 5-of-13 shooting (1-of-2 3PTs, 9-of-9 FTs) with five rebounds, six assists, and a block in 36 minutes of Thursday's preseason win. Conley has had as good of a preseason as anybody in the NBA, and he should certainly be moving up draft boards, but keep in mind that preseason stats are often useless. Don't go overboard projecting results from the silly season in either direction. Rudy Gay added 20 points, four rebounds, six assists, four steals, and a block, and Marreese Speights had 16 and 11 with three blocks in a start for Zach Randolph (rest), illustrating our point.

Mike Conley continued his impressive preseason with 18 points, one assist three steals and two threes in 22 minutes on Wednesday. He hit five threes on Sunday and his offensive game has been on display this preseason. He was second in the league in steals last year, so an added three-point element would give him fantastic fantasy value. Owners should be excited to take him in the fourth round.

Mike Conley hit all five of his 3-point attempts in Sunday's exhibition win over the Hawks, finishing with 18 points on 5-of-9 shooting with five assists and a steal in 25 minutes. Surely he's not going to get loose quite so easily when the games begin to count, but increased 3-point shooting is one way for Conley's stable year-to-year production to take a big step forward. A late-second round value last season, the only concern we have is whether or not his free throw shooting regresses after a 13 percent increase last season. If Conley jumps from 1.0 threes to even 1.5 threes per game, he could crack first round value this season, and he's going much later than that in drafts.

Grizzlies GM Chris Wallace feels his team needs to add a backup PG and more outside shooting. "We have an unsettled backup point guard situation because [starting PG Mike Conley] played too many minutes, and we need more three-point shooters," said Wallace. Zach Randolph concurred: "[Teams] understand how much damage and how much problems me and Marc [Gasol] cause in the paint. We got to fix that." It's unlikely to happen through the draft, where Memphis holds the No. 25 pick and no second-round picks.

The Grizzlies couldn't score against the Clippers in their Game 7 loss at home on Sunday, shooting just 32.5% from the field as a team. Marc Gasol and Rudy Gay each scored 19 points, and Memphis nearly rallied for another comeback win, but they got almost nothing offensively from Mike Conley (2-of-13 FGs), Zach Randolph (3-of-12) and O.J. Mayo (1-of-11). The Grizzlies will surely get a chance for redemption next season, as Hamed Haddadi is the only significant unrestricted FA on their roster.

Mike Conley scored 25 points on 10-of-15 shooting (including two threes) with seven rebounds, eight assists, and a steal in the Grizzlies' Game 4 loss to the Clippers on Monday. The stat line will show a better performance than his counterpart CP3, but he still has a ways to go before he will control a game like Paul did tonight. The larger issues for the Grizzlies were the ineffective games out of Rudy Gay (23 points, 8-of-25 FGs, seven boards, four assists) and Marc Gasol (eight points, 1-of-4 FGs, five boards, three blocks). Zach Randolph was relatively quiet with 12 points and nine boards, and O.J. Mayo scored just five points on 1-of-6 shooting with three turnovers.
