It's unclear whether Conley is dealing with discomfort in the Achilles, or if the team is simply considering resting him, as has already been the case once this season. Regardless, consider the veteran questionable, and check for a more definitive update following Sunday's shootaround. In the event Conley is held out, rookie Wade Baldwin would step into a more significant role.

Conley tallied 30 points (9-20 FG, 7-11 3Pt, 5-7 FT), 10 assists, two rebounds, two blocks and one steal across 37 minutes in Friday's 99-88 loss to the Clippers.

EDGE Analysis

The Clippers defense did well to limit the Grizzlies to 36.9 percent shooting from the field, but that didn't get in the way of Conley posting his best outing of the season. After an injury-marred 2015-16 campaign, Conley has looked healthy and effective in the early stages of the new season. He's averaging an outstanding 21.8 points, 6.6 assists, 3.2 treys and 2.6 rebounds in 33.2 minutes per game.

Conley poured in 20 points (6-14 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 6-6 FT), three assists, one rebound and one steal across 38 minutes in Wednesday's 89-83 overtime win over the Pelicans.

EDGE Analysis

Conley was rested for the first game of the Grizzlies' back-to-back set Tuesday against the Timberwolves, but returned Wednesday to deliver his third 20-point outing in four games. The point guard has had some issues with turnovers in the first few games, but since he's averaging a career-high 19.8 points per game, it's difficult to quibble too much with his production.

Conley will be available, but likely won't play in Tuesday's game against the Timberwolves, Ronald Tillery of The Memphis Commercial Appeal reports.

Both Conley and Marc Gasol are not expected to take the floor Tuesday, as head coach David Fizdale had hinted at "maintenance" this week regarding his star players. After receiving only 24 minutes in Saturday's loss to the Knicks, Conley returned to take on a larger workload in the second half of the Grizzlies' back-to-back set and was able to come away with his first double-double of the season. Given the Grizzlies' huge financial investment in him, it's expected that Conley will see larger workloads more often than not this season, and with the veteran point guard reporting no health issues thus far after an injury-plagued 2015-16 campaign, he should remain a top-notch producer. Through his first three games, Conley is averaging 19.7 points and 6.7 assists per contest, though he's still looking to notch his first steal.

Conley compiled 24 points (8-14 FG, 4-5 3Pt, 4-5 FT), four assists, one rebound and one block across 30 minutes in Wednesday's 102-98 win over the Timberwolves.

EDGE Analysis

With first-year coach David Fizdale running essentially an eight-man rotation Wednesday with Deyonta Davis playing only six minutes, Conley likely would have been in line for an even larger workload had he not ran into some foul trouble over the course of the evening. Even so, Conley still churned out a team-leading scoring total while carrying over his preseason success from long range into the season opener. After re-signing with the Grizzlies in July on the richest deal in NBA history -- a five-year, $153 million pact -- Conley has plenty to prove this season, but if health prevails, he should reestablish himself as an above-average fantasy option at the position after taking a step back during an injury-plagued 2015-16.

Conley recorded 19 points (6-12 FG, 3-3 3Pt, 4-7 FT), seven assists and two rebounds across 26 minutes in Thursday's 110-94 preseason win over the Thunder.

EDGE Analysis

After an Achilles injury sidelined him during the postseason last spring, Conley has looked sharp in his return to the court during preseason play. He's averaged 15.3 points, 5.0 assists, 1.6 treys, 1.6 steals and 1.3 rebounds across 21.6 minutes per game.

Conley had been limited by hip tightness in recent days and was initially listed as questionable heading into the game, but he ended up starting Tuesday and looked excellent during his abbreviated time on the court. While Conley seems healthy heading into the 2016-17 campaign and should be tasked with a high-volume role in the Grizzlies' attack after inking a five-year, $153 million contract extension, he's been injury-prone the last three seasons, missing at least nine games in each campaign. His inherent health risk may push him out of the first tier or two of starting point guards, but he remains a decent building block for any fantasy roster.
