The Mavericks are said to be targeting free agent Michael Redd. Redd could do well for a contender in 10 minutes off the bench, but his surgically repaired knee isn't likely to permit him to play much more than that. Just like the last couple years, it's doubtful that Redd will have fantasy value regardless of where he ends up.

The Heat, Bulls, Celtics and Knicks all have Michael Redd on the radar. This shouldn't come as a surprise as it was reported back in August that Redd was expected to sign with an Eastern Conference contender. All four teams listed fit that description, and he's one potential bargain in free agency that teams without much cap space might look to sign. He'll be looking to rebuild his stock following two consecutive ACL tears.

According to Gery Woelfel of the Journal-Times, Michael Redd is likely to sign with an Eastern Conference contender. Redd, an unrestricted free agent, has been a Buck for his entire career. Woelfel cites "impeccable sources" for the insight, and it backs up a report that the Heat are targeting he and/or Tracy McGrady for depth off the bench. Redd obviously comes with great risk after consecutive ACL tears, but he is exactly the type of bargain signing that Miami needs to target with limited financial wiggle room.
