Dellavedova will start in Friday's game against the Pacers, the Akron Beacon Journal reports. Kyrie Irving is currently dealing with a shoulder injury and will ultimately give way to Dellavedova on Friday. The normal starter is considered day-to-day moving forward, so Dellavedova's bump in value may be short lived.

Dellavedova provided two points, two rebounds, and five assists in 16 minutes in the win over the Heat on Wednesday.Dellavedova is getting consistent minutes off the Cavalier bench and has played at least 16 minutes in his last eight games. He provides perimeter defense, but not much else on a regular basis.

Dellavedova had five points, three boards, eight assists and one steal in 20 minutes off the bench Friday in a 129-90 win over Charlotte. The Hornets were never in this game, so it's hard to read too much into Dellavedova's line. That said, he now has 14 assists over his last two games, despite seeing just 36 total minutes during that stretch. While he may have some of the best playmaking skills on the team, the Cavaliers have shown they view Dellavedova as a role player and not a key cog, so it will be tough for him to keep up this impressive streak.

Dellavedova scored just five points (2-4 FG, 1-1 3Pt) and had a rebound and assist as he returned to the bench with J.R. Smith starting. Now that he's back in a bench role, Dellavedova isn't a fantasy option. In his 12 previous games off the bench, Dellavedova is averaging 2.4 points on 26.2 percent shooting, 1.8 rebounds and 2.3 assists.

Dellavedova started in place of Kyrie Irving (back) and although the assist total was nice to see, he really struggled from the field. He should continue to be a solid source for assists when he gets extended playing time, but don't expect him to provide massive scoring numbers.

Dellavedova got the start at shooting guard on Sunday, scoring 10 points (4-10 FG, 2-3 3P) with seven assists and three rebounds in 32 minutes during Sunday's loss to the Mavericks. It's the third straight game in which he's played at least 30 minutes, and with Kyrie Irving (back) now potentially joining LeBron James (back/knee) on the sidelines Delladevora could potentially see a usage boost in the short term to match. If you need threes and assists, he may be worth grabbing off the waiver wire.

Dellavedova got the start on Wednesday to score 11 points (3-8 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), to go along with four rebounds, and four assists in 29 minutes. Dellavedova may have gotten the start, however this isn't the sign of things to come for the guard. This was more the product of LeBron taking the night off, while Dellavedova will likely return to limited minutes off the bench when he returns. On a team where the usage rates of his surrounding players are so high, there is little reason to look at the guard, except for a spot start.

Dellavedova will start again Tuesday, the Akron Beacon Journal's Jason Lloyd reports. LeBron James and Shawn Marion are both out, so Dellavedova figures to see 25-30 minutes, although he will likely only contribute in three-pointers and assists.

Dellavedova will start Sunday against the Pistons in place of the injured Kyrie Irving (knee), Joe Gabriele of Cavs.com reports. Dellavedova logged 36 minutes when he started in favor of Irving Saturday, and although he scored just eight points on 2-of-7 shooting, he should at least see a similar workload. The Cavs are optimistic that Irving will be able to return by Tuesday, but if the team decides to take a conservative approach, look for Dellavedova to get another start.

Dellavedova saw a huge boost in minutes, but he didn't do very much with them. In the short term, his value is virtually unchanged, given his lack of productivity and Irving's likelihood to return to action quickly. But the role of Irving's backup has been an important one in recent years, given his injury history, and it is good to know that Dellavedova currently holds that job. All of Dellavedova's shots were three-point attempts, and he could hold noticeable value as a three-point specialist if Irving were to miss a lot of time.
