Thomas (finger) is expected to miss roughly four weeks due to a broken left ring finger, Raptors radio voice Eric Smith reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Raptors announced the injury prior to Monday night's win over the Sixers, but we now have an estimated timetable for the sharpshooter, who had been a part of the regular rotation off the bench. Expect Thomas to miss the bulk of December before a likely return sometime around Christmas.

Thomas is averaging 4.8 points in 10.3 minutes through four games with the Raptors.
EDGE Analysis
The rookie marksman hasn't had ample opportunities to showcase his shooting prowess, recording just a little over 10 minutes per game on the court. But with the recent injury to backup guard Patrick McCaw (knee), Thomas could see a slight uptick in playing time.

Thomas posted 12 points (5-10 FG, 2-5 3Pt), two assists and a rebound across 19 minutes in Sunday's 105-91 loss to the Bulls.
EDGE Analysis
Thomas joins the Ratprs after spending two seasons playing professional ball in Spain. Now 25, the former Iowa State product should figure heavily into the Raptors' plans due to the number of departures at his position. He has a reputation as a deep-ball specialist with an affinity for shots beyond the arc. If he carries those skills to Toronto, seeing him in the second unit or even in a start or two wouldn't be a big surprise.

Thomas will sign a three-year, $4.2 million contract with the Raptors, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Toronto will use part of its mid-level exception to bring Thomas over from Europe, where he shot 47 percent from three on nearly 5.0 attempts per game over the last two years in the Spanish League. A former standout at Iowa State, Thomas averaged 12.3 points per game as a senior in 2016-17.
