Bonner scored nine points against the 76ers on Monday with one rebound and three assists in 24 minutes.
EDGE Analysis
Bonner was very productive on Monday in his first start of the year for San Antonio. His role coming into Monday's matchup against Philadelphia was very limited and this sudden increase was the result of Tim Duncan (rest) taking the night off. With Duncan set to return Wednesday, Bonner's role will return to a deep bench role and his value his very low moving forward.

Bonner will start Monday against Philadelphia.
EDGE Analysis
Bonner is getting the start in place of Tim Duncan (rest). Normally David West gets the start when Duncan rests, but Bonner getting the start could indicate an expanded role for him on Monday.

Bonner has averaged 0.2 points, 0.6 rebounds, 0.2 assists, and 0.2 blocks in five minutes since the start of the Spurs' regular season.
EDGE Analysis
Bonner has participated in only five games this season as he is deep in San Antonio's depth chart. The power forward will likely continue his bench role as the Spurs' season progresses.

Bonner is slotted for another bench role this coming season with the Spurs.
EDGE Analysis
Bonner signed a one-year, $1.5 million contract this offseason, so it is no surprise to see the veteran sharp-shooter back on the Spurs' roster. At 35 years old, Bonner will most likely find himself in a reserve role this year, especially after the Spurs signed big men LaMarcus Aldridge and David West this summer.

Bonner re-signed with the Spurs on Wednesday, Dan McCarney of San Antonio Express-News reports.
Bonner is a Spurs lifer and fan favorite, so the organization was likely more than happy to bring him back on board for a league minimum, $1.5 million contract. This season will be Bonner's 10th with the team, and while he is a sharpshooting forward, he likely will not be seeing the court much this year other than when garbage time hits.

Bonner averaged 3.7 points, 0.6 three-pointers, 1.6 rebounds, 0.7 assists, 0.2 blocks, and 0.1 steals in 13 minutes per game through 72 games in 2014-15.
At 35 years old, Bonner will be an unrestricted free agent this offseason. The 11-year NBA veteran has only played one season in which he played less than 60 games. In 2014-15, Bonner made 19 spot starts while Tiago Splitter (calf) was hobbled with injuries. While his 41 percent field-goal shooting and 81 percent free-throw shooting percentages are impressive for a veteran center, Bonner only averaged 3.2 shot attempts per game this season. The Red Rocket will most likely re-sign with the Spurs this offseason to return for his 12th NBA season, but his value is as a support player who will find minutes if another player gets injured or if a blowout is in order.

Bonner said Friday that he hopes to return to the Spurs next season, the San Antonio Express News reports. "I hope to be back," Bonner said. "I love playing for the Spurs. I love everything about the organization and everybody in the organization -- players, coaches, staff members. I hope they will all be back next year."
While the Spurs are probably more concerned with the futures of Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili, Bonner has been an important role player since coming to San Antonio in 2006. He turned 35 last month, but he said he was encouraged by a relatively healthy 2014-15 season, and he believes he still has something to offer as a floor-spacer. Bonner expects to field offers from other teams, but the Spurs remain his preferred destination, and it seems likely the organization would be willing to offer him another 10-year veteran's minimum deal. Bonner, who was among the NBA's best three-point shooters from 2008--14 shot only 36.5 percent from beyond the arc in 2014-15, the second-lowest mark of his career and his lowest since 2007-08.

Bonner (calf) logged four minutes of action in Game 1 against the Clippers. He posted one rebound.
Bonner didn't get to see much court time, as expected, as he has been averaging just 13.0 minutes per game this season. His role in the Playoffs will be limited, but it's encouraging to see him play nonetheless.

Bonner (calf) is listed as questionable for Sunday's playoff opener against the Clippers in Los Angeles, Project Spurs reports.
Absent from the final two games of the regular season due to a tight right calf, Bonner's status remains up in the air on the eve of the Spurs' first postseason tilt. Tiago Splitter is also questionable with the same ailment, meaning Aron Baynes could pick up more work than normal Sunday.

Bonner (calf) will not play Wednesady against New Orleans, Dan McCarney of the San Antonio Express-News reports.
Bonner sat out Sunday, and he'll remain out Wednesday as the Spurs finish out the regular season against the Pelicans. The goal, of course, is to have Bonner at full strength for the playoffs, during which he'll likely see a modest workload off the bench.
