Smart was of just three Boston players that scored in double digits, and while he had a tough time shooting the rock here, the Oklahoma State product made up for it with his nine-assist total. Smart has established himself as one of the Celtics' main playmaking threats this season and the stats are backing him up -- he has dished out at least seven dimes in three of his last five contests.

Smart scored 14 points (4-9 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 5-7 FT) to go along with three assists, one rebound, one steal and one block across 36 minutes in Tuesday's loss to Philadelphia.

EDGE Analysis

Smart topped 30 minutes for the first time in his last three games and saw a slight uptick in his scoring as a result. The result of his line was a bit lackluster, though he did manage to supplement his scoring with continued defensive production. Smart now has at least one block in four of his last five games.

Smart recorded six points (3-6 FG, 0-2 3PT), 10 assists, four rebounds, three steals and one block in 27 minutes during Friday's 118-102 win over the Rockets.

Smart played the facilitator role Friday, dishing out double-digit assists for just the third time all season. The 27-year-old only scored six points, but he only took six shots -- a modest output when All-Stars Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum are doing the majority of the scoring. The seven-year veteran also dominated defensively, snatching three steals and one block, the third time this season he has had at least three steals and one block.

Smart posted 17 points (5-12 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 5-6 FT), seven assists, five rebounds, two steals and one block with no turnovers across 36 minutes during Wednesday's 113-108 loss to the Mavericks.

EDGE Analysis

The Celtics couldn't ask for much more from Smart, but he couldn't get enough help to secure a victory. Wednesday marked Smart's first no-turnover game since March 19, and it's the first time he's made at least five free throws since March 17 -- the game he first re-joined the starting five. In his nine games since re-joining the starters, he's averaged 14.4 points, 5.2 assists, 3.9 rebounds and 1.2 steals in 35.3 minutes. He's struggled from the field, hitting just 40.6 percent of his shots.

Smart scored 15 points (6-15 FG, 0-6 3Pt, 3-3 FT) while adding three rebounds, three assists and two blocks across 38 minutes in Monday's loss to the Pelicans.

EDGE Analysis

In the two games after making seven treys against the Bucks on Friday, Smart has gone a combined 1-for-10 from distance. Overall, Smart has been a bit off since returning from a calf injury that cost him all of February and the first couple games of March. In his 11 games since returning, Smart is averaging 12.9 points, 4.2 assists, 3.3 rebounds and 0.9 steals while shooting 40.7 percent from the floor and 36.2 percent from distance.

Smart collected 23 points (8-15 FG, 7-10 3Pt), eight rebounds, three assists, one steal and one block in a 122-114 victory over the Bucks on Friday.

The Celtics, led by Smart's new season-high makes from distance, made 22 threes in their win over the Bucks. The guard is shooting at a 41.3 percent clip from distance over his last six games, recording multiple threes in five of those contests. Smart continues to help fantasy managers in multiple categories, averaging 15.0 points, 4.8 assists, 4.2 rebounds and 1.2 steals over that same stretch.

Smart totaled 12 points (3-13 FG, 2-10 3Pt, 4-4 FT), six assists, two rebounds, one block and one steal in 37 minutes of Wednesday's loss to the Bucks.

EDGE Analysis

Smart has been terribly inefficient since his return to the starting lineup. In the five games, he's shot greater than 45 percent just once and topped the 15-point mark twice. On the plus side, he has dished out five or more assists in four of the contests and he's hit the 30-minute plateau in four straight.

Smart scored 16 points (5-14 FG, 3-9 3Pt, 3-4 FT) and added five rebounds, five assists and one steal in a 132-126 loss to the Grizzlies on Monday.

EDGE Analysis

Smart wasn't terribly efficient from the field but had a solid all-around performance in the Celtics' overtime loss. It was the guard's third time scoring in double figures since returning to the starting lineup four games ago and also the third consecutive game that he recorded at least five assists. Smart saw a bump in scoring opportunities with Jayson Tatum (illness) and Kemba Walker (rest) out of the lineup Monday, which should continue if Tatum is forced to miss additional time.

Smart is no longer on a minutes restriction heading into Monday's game against the Grizzlies, Tim Bontemps of ESPN.com reports.

EDGE Analysis

Smart has averaged 33.5 minutes per game across his past two appearances, and coach Brad Stevens confirmed Monday that Smart will no longer have his playing time monitored going forward. The 27-year-old has returned to the starting lineup over the past three games and should continue to serve as a starter for Boston.
