Smart closed Friday's 111-107 loss to Golden State with 19 points (6-12 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 5-6 FT), six rebounds, eight assists and one steal across 35 minutes.
EDGE Analysis
Smart has had inconsistent results across the past several games, but he came within two assists of posting his first double-double of the season Friday. He led the Celtics in assists but fell just short of leading the team to the win over Golden State. The 27-year-old has now scored in double figures in four of his last seven appearances.

Smart (illness) has been cleared to play Monday against the Bucks.
EDGE Analysis
As expected, Smart will be available despite battling an illness over the last couple of days. The defensive-minded guard is coming off of a disastrous shooting night against the Suns on Friday, when he finished with just four points (1-13 FG, 0-5 3Pt), two rebounds and two steals in 31 minutes. As usual, Smart's offensive contributions have varied widely from night to night, but he remains a strong source of assists and, especially, steals (2.2 SPG on the season).

Smart is probable against the Bucks on Monday because of an illness, according to Chris Forsberg of NBC Sports Boston.
EDGE Analysis
There is an unlikely but plausible chance Smart sits out the Celtics' upcoming game recovering from a non-COVID illness. If so, Dennis Schroder and Jaylen Brown would be the Celtics' backcourt starters.

Smart posted 16 points (7-16 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 1-1 FT), seven rebounds, six assists and four steals in 37 minutes during Wednesday's 114-111 loss to the Clippers.
EDGE Analysis
Smart did a little bit of everything for Boston in the loss, showing off the diverse skill set that makes him a valuable fantasy asset despite averaging just 11.3 points per game. The veteran guard has been particularly valuable for his ability to take the ball away -- with four steals Wednesday, he now ranks first in the NBA with 55 total thefts on the campaign.

Smart produced six points (2-7 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 2-3 FT), four rebounds, six assists and three steals in 33 minutes during Tuesday's 117-102 loss to the Lakers.
EDGE Analysis
Smart couldn't get his own offense going but got his teammates involved and racked up a few steals. That said, his scoring has increased lately in general. Tuesday marks just the second time in seven games that he's scored in single digits -- a nice trend since he had scored in single digits in 11 of his previous 17 appearances.

Smart closed with 21 points (7-16 FG, 4-10 3Pt, 3-3 FT), eight rebounds and six assists across 36 minutes during Sunday's 109-97 win over Toronto.
EDGE Analysis
Smart was Boston's main scoring threat out of the backcourt, as he took advantage of the fact that the duo of Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown combined for 24 points. Smart has reached the 20-point plateau in three of his last six games and seems to be earning a bigger role offensively as the season progresses, though he now needs to be a bit more consistent with his scoring figures to further boost his fantasy upside.

Smart totaled 20 points (6-14 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 5-5 FT), three rebounds, eight assists, one block and two steals across 36 minutes during Wednesday's 123-104 loss to the Nets.
EDGE Analysis
On a night where Jayson Tatum struggled to get anything going, Smart led the Celtics in scoring and surpassed the 20-point mark for just the second time this season. It's unlikely that the veteran guard will be able to sustain that kind of production going forward, but he does a lot of things well on the court and is certainly capable of sprinkling in double-digit scoring outings from time to time. Smart is averaging 10.5 points, 5.5 assists, 3.7 rebounds and 2.3 steals over a career-high 34.9 minutes per game this season.

Smart added eight points (3-10 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 11 rebounds and two assists during Wednesday's loss to Atlanta.
EDGE Analysis
Smart struggled overall from the floor especially from three, though the guard picked up the slack elsewhere and led the team in rebounding. His 11 rebounds were a new season best, breaking his previous mark of eight set during the season opener. So far across 14 outings, Smart has reached double figures offensively just five times.

Smart registered 14 points (6-13 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 1-2 FT), four rebounds, five assists and two steals across 37 minutes during Monday's 98-92 win against Cleveland.
EDGE Analysis
Smart contributed across multiple categories in this one and logged a team high in minutes on the way to the victory. It was reassuring to see the Oklahoma State product bounce back from a two-point showing Saturday against Cleveland, though he has struggled to consistently produce in the scoring column. Smart has finished in double figures in four of eight contests so far in November.

Smart produced 19 points (7-13 FG, 2-5 3PT, 3-3 FT), six rebounds, six assists and three steals across 42 minutes in Friday's 122-113 overtime victory over Milwaukee.
EDGE Analysis
Smart has been a polarizing player for Celtics fans so far this season, but Friday's performance was easily his best since the season opener. His 19 points were good enough for a season high. He accumulated most of them during a scortching third-quarter stretch. It is unclear how long Jaylen Brown (hamstring) will be sidelined, but the veteran Smart will continue to have an opportunity to produce more than usual while he is.
