EDGE Analysis

Smart (ankle) is doubtful for Wednesday's contest against the Pistons, Keith Smith of Spotrac.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Smart left Tuesday's blowout win over the 76ers due to a sprained right ankle, and it appears the Celtics will be cautious and keep the point guard sidelined for the their last game before the All-Star break. In his expected absence, Derrick White and Payton Pritchard should garner increased roles.

Smart will not return to Tuesday's game against the 76ers due to a sprained right ankle, Tim Bontemps of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Smart sprained his ankle in the second quarter and limped off the court under his own power. That said, it would be surprising to see him play Wednesday against the Pistons, which is the Celtics' final game before the All-Star break.

EDGE Analysis
Smart wasn't putting much weight on his right leg after managing to take free throws. It seems unlikely he'll return, but he should be considered questionable until something definitive emerges.

EDGE Analysis
Smart has averaged 13.6 points, 6.3 assists, 4.1 rebounds and 1.5 steals in 30.4 minutes during the Celtics' current eight-game win streak. If he's unable to suit up, recently acquired Derrick White will likely join Boston's starting lineup for the first time.

Smart manufactured 22 points (6-16 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 8-10 FT), seven assists, three boards and five steals over 39 minutes in Friday's 108-102 home win over the Nuggets.
EDGE Analysis
Smart hit multiple clutch free throws in the fourth quarter. He also had some ugly turnovers early. Those turnovers and the high steal count are the ying and yang of Smart's play. Smart and newly acquired Derrick White also looked like a natural backcourt pairing in White's first game with Boston. Smart's hard-working play was a key component of the Celtics' seventh straight win.

Smart ended Tuesday's 126-91 win over Brooklyn with 22 points (8-16 FG, 6-13 3Pt), one rebound, three assists, one block and one steal in 28 minutes.
EDGE Analysis
Smart had another 22-point performance Feb. 2 against the Hornets, but he followed that up with nine combined points over his next two games. He bounced back Tuesday with this 22-point effort in the blowout win over the extremely-shorthanded Nets. It's his sixth 20-point performance of the campaign.

Smart chipped in 22 points (7-11 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 6-6 FT), four rebounds, six assists, one block and one steal over 33 minutes during Wednesday's 113-107 win over the Hornets.
EDGE Analysis
Smart scored 20-plus points for the first time since Dec. 31 and dished out at least six assists for the fifth time over his last six games. During that stretch, the veteran point guard has averaged 11.8 points, 6.7 assists, 3.7 rebounds and 1.7 steals in 29.7 minutes. Smart usually defers offensively to Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum, which can hinder his fantasy potential, but his overall production remains consistent due to his ability to impact the game in a multitude of ways.
