Smart (shoulder/quad) started the second half of Sunday's Game 1 against the Bucks, Keith Smith of Spotrac.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Smart suffered an injury scare at the end of the first half, but he avoided a significant issue and has since returned to start the second half. While he's available, the injuries could impact his effectiveness for the remainder of the game and series.

Smart (shoulder/quad) is expected to return in the second half of Sunday's Game 1 against the Bucks, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Smart left the contest and appeared unable to move his right arm late in the second quarter after colliding with Jevon Carter. However, according to Charania, the point guard merely suffered a shoulder stinger and a quad contusion and is expected to return in the second half.

Smart had to be rushed to the locker room after appearing to have his shoulder dislocated during the first half of Sunday's Game 1 against the Bucks, Tim Bontemps of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Smart and Jevon Carter collided in the paint during the second quarter, which left Smart clearly injured as he made his way to the bench. A trainer helped him to the locker room from there, but it looked like Smart wasn't able to move his right arm, which doesn't bode well for his potential return. If he's unable to play in the second half, Payton Pritchard would likely garner an increased role the rest of the way.

Smart recorded 14 points (6-15 FG, 2-10 3Pt), three rebounds, six assists and two steals over 38 minutes during Saturday's 109-103 win over the Nets.
EDGE Analysis
Although Smart's stat line was decent enough, he displayed defensive mettle worthy of the Defensive Player of the Year honors he received a few days ago. Smart was relentless against Kyrie Irving, who found himself in foul trouble early and couldn't get much going against Smart's smothering defense.

Smart posted 12 points (3-9 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 2-3 FT), six assists, three steals and four turnovers in Wednesday's 114-107 Game 2 win in Boston.
EDGE Analysis
Smart's point guard play was a bit sloppy, but his defense, as usual, was outstanding. The veteran was named the Defensive Player of the Year on Tuesday and received his trophy pre-game. He then led a Boston defense that held Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant to 8-of-30 shooting from the field. Smart also hit a crazy, shot-clock-expiring, left-handed bank shot late in the fourth quarter to help secure the win. The series now shifts to Brooklyn for Game 3 on Saturday night.

Smart generated 20 points (8-17 FG, 4-9 3Pt), seven boards, six assists and two steals over 36 minutes in Sunday's 115-114 Game 1 win over the Nets.
EDGE Analysis
Smart delivered the game winning assist to Jayson Tatum with less than two seconds on the clock. Smart's ability to guard one through five is the key to Boston's stifling switching defense. With Robert Williams out (knee), the Celtics will continue to also need Smart's help on the boards. Expect more monster minutes from Smart in Wednesday's Game 2 matchup in Boston.

Smart notched 29 points (10-16 FG, 7-12 3Pt, 2-2 FT), one rebound, seven assists and two steals across 30 minutes during Thursday's 127-121 loss to Milwaukee.
EDGE Analysis
Smart came into the contest probable due to a sprained right ankle and had scored in single digits in back-to-back games, but he overcame both of those issues to register a season-high 29 points. The Celtics were without Jayson Tatum (knee), which likely played a role in Smart's increased offensive production, but either way, it's still a positive sign to see the point guard finding an offensive rhythm ahead of the playoffs.

Smart (ankle) will play Thursday against Milwaukee, Bobby Krivitsky of Sports Illustrated reports.
EDGE Analysis
Smart was listed as probable earlier in the day but has been officially removed from the injury report. Curiously, the Celtics will start Smart and Jaylen Brown, while Al Horford and Jayson Tatum are resting.

Smart is listed as probable for Thursday's game against Milwaukee due to a sprained right ankle.
EDGE Analysis
While the Celtics will hold both Jayson Tatum and Al Horford out of Thursday's contest, it appears Smart and Jaylen Brown are on track to play. Boston is, of course, jockeying with Milwaukee, among other teams, for advantageous playoff seeding in the Eastern Conference, so it wouldn't be a surprise if that influences the Celtics' rotations for Sunday's regular-season finale against Memphis.

Smart ended Monday's 115-112 overtime loss to Toronto with 28 points (10-25 FG, 2-11 3Pt, 6-9 FT), 10 rebounds, four assists and one block in 40 minutes.
EDGE Analysis
Smart was a logical pivot when Jaylen Brown's (knee) absence was announced, as the hybrid guard is usually a reliable fantasy play when any of Boston's elites are out. Multiple absences for the Celtics aided Smart's ability to post a double-double and his best scoring performance of the season.
