Smart (ankle) won't take the floor Friday versus the Pelicans, Keith Smith of Spotrac.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
After being labeled questionable on Thursday's initial injury report, Smart was absent from the team's shootaround Friday, foreshadowing his eventual downgrade to out for the contest. While Smart will miss his second consecutive game, Malcolm Brogdon (hamstring) will be available and could line up for the start at point guard unless the team decides to go with Derrick White again coming off a 10-assist effort versus the Hawks.

Smart (ankle) wasn't at shootaround ahead of Friday's game versus the Pelicans since he was receiving medical treatment, Adam Himmelsbach of The Boston Globe reports
EDGE Analysis
Smart is questionable ahead of Friday's game due to an ankle injury but seems to be in danger of missing his second consecutive game. If Smart is unable to play, Malcolm Brogdon will likely start in his place.

Smart (ankle) is questionable for Friday's game against the Pelicans, Keith Smith of Spotrac.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Smart was unavailable Wednesday against Atlanta after initially being listed as probable, but he'll have a chance to return to action Friday. Regardless of Smart's status, the Celtics' backcourt will likely get a boost since Malcolm Brogdon (hamstring) is probable after missing the last four games.

Smart (ankle) will not play in Wednesday's game against the Hawks, Tim Bontemps of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Smart's out status juxtaposes his designation from Tuesday, when he was ruled probable for the contest despite an ankle issue. Unfortunately, the lockdown point guard will be forced to miss the contest, and the problems on the ball are exacerbated by the fact that Malcolm Brogdon (ankle) will sit as well. Payton Pritchard and Derrick White may be called on to serve as the primary ball handlers with the pair sidelined.

Smart (ankle) is probable for Wednesday's matchup against Atlanta.
EDGE Analysis
Smart is dealing with right ankle inflammation, but it shouldn't cause him to sit out Wednesday's contest. The point guard is coming off a season-high 22-point performance against the Thunder and has dished out at least eight assists in five of his last six appearances.

Smart produced 22 points (8-12 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 5-6 FT), five rebounds, eight assists and one block across 29 minutes during Monday's 126-122 victory over the Thunder.
EDGE Analysis
Smart turned the ball over more than twice for the first time since the second game of the season, but that was his only blemish in a game in which he looked efficient both as a scorer and as a passer. This 22-point output was a season-high mark for Smart, who also ended just two dimes shy of putting up what would've been his fourth double-double across his last six appearances. The veteran guard is averaging 12.8 points, 7.8 assists, 3.3 rebounds and 1.0 steals per game across eight November appearances.

Smart produced 18 points (7-17 FG, 4-10 3Pt), two rebounds, 10 assists, one block and five steals over 43 minutes during Saturday's 117-108 victory over the Pistons.
EDGE Analysis
Smart had another impressive performance as a distributor, as he racked up double-digit assists for the fourth time over his last five contests while also taking care of the ball, as he's only recorded six turnovers (to go along with 48 assists) in that span. That gives him an elite 8:1 assist-to-turnover ratio. Passing numbers aside, Smart also produced his best scoring output of the campaign and is clearly moving in the right direction here, as he has delivered three double-doubles over his last five games.

Smart contributed four points (2-4 FG) and four assists across 24 minutes during Friday's 131-112 win over the Nuggets.
EDGE Analysis
Smart has scored just six points over the past two games. While Smart's three-point shooting needs to improve (26.7 percent), the reason for his reduced production lately is a decisive win over the Pistons on Wednesday and foul trouble in Friday's blowout victory. In the games where Smart has seen at least 30 minutes, he's averaging 11.8 points, 7.4 assists (which would be a career high) and 3.9 rebounds.

Smart recorded 15 points (6-11 FG, 2-6 3PT, 1-3 FT), seven rebounds and 12 assists in 36 minutes during Monday's game against the Grizzlies.
EDGE Analysis
Smart has been on a tear in the assist column of late, dishing out a total of 23 dimes over his last two contests. He's also been strong shooting the basketball over that brief stretch, knocking down 11 of 20 attempts from the field. Smart will continue to be most valuable for fantasy managers in need of assists.

Smart chipped in 13 points (5-9 FG, 3-5 3Pt), two rebounds and 11 assists over 36 minutes during Saturday's 133-118 victory over the Knicks.
EDGE Analysis
Smart recorded his first double-double of the young season by finding his teammates for buckets. He also had an efficient shooting night, scoring nine of his 13 points from beyond the arc. While Smart is certainly not a lock to put up double figures in scoring night-to-night, he typically makes up for it with strong production in assists, rebounds and steals.
