Despite handling his usual minutes before the Celtics pulled out their key rotation players late in the fourth quarter, Smart turned in one of his worst outings of the season. He had been averaging 14.2 points, 8.5 assists, 3.5 rebounds, 2.5 three-pointers and 2.2 steals over the last five games -- all above his season-long averages -- while shooting a robust 50.8 percent from the field, so fantasy managers can probably forgive him for his rough night. Smart will get a quick opportunity to right the ship, as the Celtics play the Lakers in the second half of a back-to-back set at Crypto.com Arena on Tuesday.

It's a breath of fresh air for Smart, who hadn't been quite as good since returning from a two-game absence due to an ankle injury earlier this month. Smart won't knock down six three-point shots a night, but he's usually a double-digit scorer and racks up a good number of assists. He's also known for his defensive prowess, earning him additional value from a fantasy perspective.

Smart contributed four points (0-4 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 4-4 FT), four rebounds and five assists in 29 minutes during Friday's 122-104 win over the Kings. He also had four turnovers.

Smart logged his 27th career game with zero made field goals. Ironically, the most recent of such contests came against Sacramento as well, back in January. With that said, those who snapped him up in drafts should have been prepared for nights like this, given his spotty offensive history.
