The Rockets are expected to sign FA Marcus Camby on Sunday, according to Mark Berman of FOX 26 Sports. Camby met with Rockets' team doctors and passed a physical for them this week, and he'll have a level of familiarity with Houston after playing there during the 2011-12 season. The presence of both Dwight Howard and Omer Asik means that Camby won't get many minutes, but he grew up in Texas and wanted to play for a contender. And it's always possible that Asik, an elite defender on a reasonable contract, will be traded mid-season.

The Rockets and Bulls are reportedly showing the most interest in free agent C Marcus Camby.

Marcus Camby recently met with the team doctors of the Rockets and passed their physical. He's reportedly considering the Rockets among several teams. Camby reportedly wanted to play for a contender and while the Rockets made some big splashes this offseason, they're far from being considered as the favorites to win a championship. Camby's foot is pretty fragile these days, so he's not even close to being on the fantasy radar.

Marcus Camby has officially cleared waivers and he's being pursued by the Bulls, Clippers, Heat and Rockets. Chris Tomasson of FOX Sports rules out the Clippers in his sources' list of "finalists" for Camby, while the Rockets only make sense if they're preparing to eventually trade Omer Asik. In 19 games with the Rockets in 2011-12, Camby averaged 7.1 points, 9.3 boards and 1.5 blocks in just 24 minutes per game.

The Rockets are the "leading contender" to sign Marcus Camby once his buyout is complete, according to his agent, Rick Kaplan. Camby is expected to become a free agent Sunday, assuming no one puts in an amnesty claim on him before then. The Rockets seem like a bit of a strange fit for the veteran big man considering the presence of Dwight Howard and Omer Asik. It's possible Camby will be happy with limited minutes, but we remember him getting upset when he fell out of the rotation in New York last season. Stay tuned.

Marcus Camby will reportedly be pursued by the Bulls, Clippers, Heat and Rockets once his buyout with the Raptors is complete. Almost any team could use a rim-protecting veteran center on a minimum deal, but Camby was upset when he fell out of New York's rotation last season so presumably he'll need to be assured of significant playing time. The Rockets seem set with Omer Asik backing up Dwight Howard, though Camby could be used as insurance if they trade Asik.

The Raptors agreed to a buyout with Marcus Camby and placed Camby on waivers Wednesday. Camby had two years remaining on his contract and was expected to be bought out by the Raptors. According to Yahoo! Sports, the Clippers, Bulls and Rockets all have interest in signing Camby once he's a free agent. Camby can still block shots and rebound but but has so little left at this point in his career that he has no fantasy value.

The Raptors are expected to buyout the contract of F/C Marcus Camby in the near future, according to Yahoo! Sports. He has two years remaining on his contract and Yahoo! is reporting that the Clippers, Bulls and Rockets are all interested in signing him. He doesn't have much left in the tank, and even with his ability to rebound and block shots, won't be worth owning in most fantasy leagues.

Marcus Camby would like a buyout or trade from the Raptors. "We have a great deal of respect for and faith in the new management of the Raptors,'' Camby's agent Rick Kaplan said. "So something is likely to work out for all involved." The big man wants to play for a contender and at 39 years old, it's hard to blame him. The Knicks foolishly signed him through 2014-15, so they'll have a tough time dealing that contract. Camby had $1.2 million guaranteed of his $4.2 million last year and his agent said he has no plans to retire.

Marcus Camby was traded to the Raptors in part of the Andrea Bargnani deal on Sunday. He'll head back to the team that drafted him back in the heralded 1996 draft. Camby doesn't have much tread left on the tires at age 39 and doesn't project to play much more than the 10.4 minutes per game he played last year.
