He came off the bench but tied Blake Griffin for the team lead in minutes, finishing with an efficient shooting night and an all-around stat line in Saturday's win. Kennard was a plus-27 on the night which led all players in the game. He hasn't been the model of consistency this season, but Kennard is capable of big games in any given night, making him an interesting daily punt-play.

Kennard put up 15 points (4-7 FG, 4-6 3Pt, 3-3 FT), three rebounds and two assists in 29 minutes off the bench Monday in the Pistons' 121-112 loss to the Wizards.
EDGE Analysis
Much to the chagrin of those who scooped him up off the waiver wire, Kennard wasn't appointed to the starting five for either of the Pistons' two games since trading away fellow wings Reggie Bullock and Stanley Johnson. On a positive note, Kennard's playing time has picked up, as the second-year player has received 29 minutes on both occasions. Coach Dwane Casey seemed to suggest that the newly signed Wayne Ellington would be the next man up if the Pistons drop Langston Galloway or Bruce Brown from the starting five, but Kennard should nonetheless have a fairly unimpeded path to 25-plus minutes on most occasions.

EDGE Analysis
Kennard saw his fewest minutes in more than a month, but the developments after Tuesday's game nonetheless have his fantasy stock on the rise. Detroit has since traded away two rotational wings in Reggie Bullock and Stanley Johnson, leaving plenty of playing time up for grabs for the likes of Kennard, Bruce Brown, Langston Galloway, Khyri Thomas and the newly acquired Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk. The Pistons could certainly add more options at shooting guard or small forward to the roster prior to Thursday's trade deadline, but for now, Kennard looks like a decent speculative pickup outside of shallow leagues.

EDGE Analysis

The second-year pro has shows flashes of scoring potential recently and has topped double-figures in 10 of his past 17 games. For now, however, Kennard's production is too inconsistent and scoring-focused for him to be much value outside of deeper formats.

EDGE Analysis
Since re-entering coach Dwane Casey's rotation over the last four contests after a one-game hiatus, Kennard has rediscovered his stroke from the outside. Though he's struggled from deep much of the season, Kennard has knocked down eight of 18 three-point attempts over that four-game stretch while hitting double figures in the points column on three occasions. The second-year shooting guard could poach minutes from Langston Galloway and Bruce Brown so long as he keeps shooting well.
