The 24-year-old started the past two games for Los Angeles, but he'll shift back to the bench with Patrick Beverley (knee) returning from an eight-game absence. Kennard could see his playing time take a hit, but he should still have plenty of action since Paul George (toe) remains sidelined.

Kennard was one of three new additions to the Clippers' starting five after Paul George (COVID-19 protocols), Kawhi Leonard (COVID-19 protocols) and Patrick Beverley (knee) were sidelined for the first contest of a six-game road trip. Reggie Jackson (20 points, eight assists, seven rebounds in 39 minutes) was the Clippers' top fantasy producer on the night, but Kennard wasn't far behind and actually sported the higher usage rate (21.5 percent) of the two. Since all of George, Leonard and Beverley are uncertain to join the Clippers at any point during the road trip, the likes of Kennard, Jackson, Lou Williams and Serge Ibaka -- among others -- should all benefit from short-term spikes in fantasy value.

And while he's a decent playmaker, the Clippers' offense has no shortage of players to handle the ball, so there will be nights where he can't rack up a meaningful number of assists.

After logging 30 minutes in Friday's 38-point win over the Kings, Kennard saw his playing time take a big dip with Patrick Beveley (personal) back in the lineup. The continued absence of Lou Williams (hip) still allowed Kennard to enjoy a high-usage role on the second unit, with the fourth-year player setting a new season-high in scoring in the process. Kennard remains a name to keep on a watch list in standard leagues, as Williams' hip issue is just believed to be a short-term concern at this point.

Kennard finished with 14 points (6-8 FG, 2-2 3Pt), six assists, five rebounds and one block in 30 minutes Friday in the Clippers' 138-100 win over the Kings.

EDGE Analysis

Kennard took advantage of the larger role afforded to him by the absences of Patrick Beverley (personal) and Lou Williams (hip), turning in one of his best lines of the season in the process. While Kennard would make for interesting roster filler in 12-team leagues if he could have this sort of role on a regular basis, his opportunities are expected to take a hit in the Clippers' upcoming game Sunday against the Pacers. Beverley has rejoined the team and is available to play, while Williams is listed as questionable for the contest.

Kennard registered six points (2-3 FG, 2-3 3Pt), a rebound and an assist across 21 minutes off the bench in Wednesday's win over the Pelicans.

EDGE Analysis

Kennard has made just three starts this season and, while he has a stable role off the bench for the Clippers, he doesn't do much aside from shooting threes and grabbing a few rebounds here and there. He has been effective in his main function, however, as Kennard has hit 47.4 percent of his three-point attempts this season. If he's able to sustain that pace, that would easily be a career-high figure for the sharpshooter.
