Brown recorded 25 points (10-17 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 4-5 FT), 15 assists, six steals and two rebounds during Tuesday's loss at Long Island.

The former North Carolina State guard had a tremendous game, tying a season high in assists and reaching the 25 point mark. It's impressive what Brown is doing this season. He is currently second in assists in the G-League with 9.5 per contest, and, in addition, he also averages a superb 18.9 points as well. The 27-year-old figures to be able to reach his assist average consistently as he has had more than eight assists in each of his last 12 games.

Brown logged six minutes off the bench in Tuesday's loss to Miami, finishing with zero points (0-0 FG, 0-0 FT) and one assist.

EDGE Analysis

Brown shouldn't be on any fantasy radars, but it's nonetheless worth noting that he made his first NBA appearance in nearly a month, as the Raptors needed a bit more point guard depth in the absence of Kyle Lowry. If Lowry ultimately misses a few more games, Brown could see some minutes in garbage time, but considering he has Fred VanVleet and Delon Wright ahead of him on the depth chart, he's unlikely to make his way into the regular rotation this season.

Brown was assigned to the G League's Raptors 905 on Monday.

Brown, who signed a two-way contract with the Raptors in the summer, had been a fixture for the G League squad all season before making his first two appearances with Toronto last week. He logged a combined 26 minutes in games against the Knicks and Wizards, tallying no points, four rebounds, three assists and two steals in those contests. Since Delon Wright (shoulder) is out indefinitely, Brown, who will play for the G League squad in Monday's game against the Greensboro Swarm, could rejoin the Raptors in short order to act as the third-string point guard behind Kyle Lowry and Fred VanVleet.

Brown spent the 2016-17 in China with the Zhejiang Golden Bulls and with the Grand Rapids Drive of the G League. Brown averaged 23.6 points and 7.7 rebounds per game in 11 outings with the Drive last season and will likely spend most of next season in the G League once again.

Updating a previous story, Brown will not join the Pistons, as the signing was not completed before the NBA's transaction deadline, which passed Sunday, Shams Charania of The Vertical reports.

Detroit's interest in Brown could extend into the offseason, and it's likely the former NC State star will garner significant interest as a summer league addition, who could potentially vie for a roster spot in training camp in the fall.
