Aldridge (knee) has been downgraded to out for Wednesday's game against the Lakers, Jeff Garcia of News 4 San Antonio reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 35-year-old was originally considered questionable with a sore left knee, but he won't be taking the court Wednesday. Jakob Poeltl is a likely bet to enter the starting lineup for the Spurs. Aldridge's next chance to play will be Friday's rematch with the Lakers.

Aldridge is considered questionable for Wednesday's game against the Lakers due to a sore left knee, Matthew Tynan of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Aldridge played only 20 minutes in Sunday's loss to the Pelicans, so it's possible the knee was the reason behind the abbreviated workload. Keep an eye on the veteran's status as Wednesday's 8:30 PM ET tip off approaches. If he sits, Jakob Poeltl would likely move into the starting five at center.

Aldridge totaled 20 points (9-17 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 1-1 FT), three rebounds, one assist and one block in 29 minutes of Wednesday's 131-119 win over Memphis.
EDGE Analysis
Other than scoring, Aldridge didn't contribute much else statistically speaking, but he'll take the win. It is also worth noting the 35-year-old attempted four three-pointers, despite only making one, as the buzz in the preseason indicated he would take more shots from beyond the arc in the upcoming campaign.

Aldridge registered 14 points (5-16 FG, 3-10 3Pt, 1-1 FT), six rebounds and two assists across 25 minutes during Saturday's preseason loss against the Thunder.
EDGE Analysis
Gregg Popovich asked Aldridge to shoot from three this season, and the veteran power forward seems to have listened to him, as 10 of his 16 shots in this game came from beyond the arc. Aldridge's game is far more effective near the rim, but if he can expand his range, that would make him a more useful fantasy asset going forward. Either way, he is expected to work as one of the Spurs' main scoring threats during the regular season.

Aldridge (shoulder) is committed to taking more three-pointers, Michael C. Wright of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Aldridge took and made the most threes of his career last season as a 34-year-old, going 61-of-157 (38.9 percent) from beyond the arc. As he ages and the game shifts more toward perimeter play, Aldridge is apparently looking to increase that number. However, that could decrease his free-throw attempts, rebounds and field-goal percentage.

Coach Gregg Popovich said Sunday that Aldridge (shoulder) is recovering well from surgery, Paul Garcia of Project Spurs reports. "He's doing very well," Popovich said. "He has been real disciplined about it. Day to day it's a process."
EDGE Analysis
Aldridge is still without a firm timetable, but the expectation is that he'll be at full strength before the start of the 2020-21 season, which is currently slated to begin in November. The big man posted photos to his personal Twitter account Saturday, which showed him working out and training with weights. In the photos, Aldridge appears to be using his surgically repaired right shoulder without restriction.

Aldridge underwent a procedure to address a right rotator cuff injury and will miss the remainder of the 2019-20 season, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Aldridge initially sustained the injury shortly after the All-Star break, but he was able to return to action on Mar. 10 - one day before the suspension of the regular season. Even with the Spurs set to be one of 22 teams heading to Orlando next month, Aldridge opted to undergo the procedure, which will likely shelve him for several weeks. The expectation is that Aldridge will be fully ready for the start of the 2020-21 campaign.

Aldridge (shoulder) notched 24 points (10-23 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 3-4 FT), four blocks, three steals, two rebounds and two assists in 37 minutes during Tuesday's 119-109 win over the Mavericks.
EDGE Analysis
Aldridge returned from a six-game absence and looked impressive, filling out the stat sheet and posting 20-plus points for the third time in his last five outings dating back to last month. The veteran power forward looked healthy, and he should return to be one of San Antonio's most reliable scoring threats now that he's available again.

Aldridge (shoulder) will play and start Tuesday against the Mavericks, Evan Closky of KENS 5 reports.
EDGE Analysis
As expected, Aldridge will make his return Tuesday from a shoulder strain that cost him six consecutive games. He'll re-join the starting five, and it's possible fewer minutes will be given to Trey Lyles.
