Surprisingly, Kuzma currently leads the Wizards in rebounding with a career-high 9.2 rebounds across 16 appearances. The former Utah standout is also averaging his most points per game since the 2018-19 season with the Lakers.

Kuzma is flourishing in this new role with the Wizards and remains a steady presence on both ends of the court, as he has six double-doubles so far. Even though he's still prone to having a few nights off from time to time, Kuzma has been playing very well this season and fantasy managers who trusted him should be quite happy with the returns so far. He's averaging 14.1 points and a career-high 9.1 rebounds per game thus far.

Kuzma has five double-doubles on the season, including two over his last three games. While it remains to be seen whether he'll remain a starter all season long considering Rui Hachimura (not injury related) is yet to debut this season, but either way, the former Laker is certainly enjoying the run as a starter thus far. Through 12 games, he has 10 double-digit scoring efforts and is averaging 15.0 points and 9.2 rebounds per tilt.

Kuzma posted 15 points (6-11 FG, 3-8 3Pt), 10 rebounds, five assists and a block across 30 minutes in Sunday's win over the Bucks.

EDGE Analysis

Kuzma has scored in double digits in all but two of his appearances this season, but he's been doing more than just scoring for Washington. Sunday's was his fourth double-double of the season, and he has pulled down double-digit boards five times already -- and six or more in all but one contest. All things considered, Kuzma can be inconsistent on a game-to-game basis but generally produces at an acceptable level. He is averaging 14.1 points and 9.5 rebounds per game this season, and both marks would be career-best figures for him once it's all said and done.

Kuzma injured his forearm/wrist Wednesday, but he'll be fine for Friday's contest. Prior to suffering the injury, he was averaging 15.9 points, 11.0 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.0 steals in 36.6 minutes.

While serving as the team's starting power forward while Rui Hachimura (conditioning) remains without a clear timeline to make his season debut, Kuzma's work on the glass has been particularly impressive. He's now averaging 12.0 boards per game, nearly doubling up his rate from 2020-21 with the Lakers (6.1).

Kuzma surpassed the 20-point mark just for the second time this season, but just like it happened against the Celtics on Wednesday, he ended just two boards away from posting a double-double. It's been a strong start to the season for Kuzma, who's benefiting from the uptick in playing time compared to recent years. He's averaging a double-double of 15.2 points and 11.0 rebounds per tilt through his first five games with Washington.

Kuzma supplied six points (3-11 FG, 0-5 3Pt), 13 rebounds and two assists in 27 minutes Monday as the Wizards fell to the Nets, 104-90.

EDGE Analysis

Washington shot under 35 percent from the field, including just 9-of-39 from long range -- zero of which came from Kuzma. Luckily for fantasy managers, Kuzma has been pounding the glass in the Wizards' small-ball lineups. Thomas Bryant (knee) is on track for a December return, but Kuzma surpassing his previous career-high of 6.3 rebounds per game is reasonable. Coupled with stabilizing his offensive output, Kuzma is a candidate to best his ADP.
