Detroit's rash of injuries has revived Knox's career a bit, although his stat lines are far from dependable. Knox stepped in and knocked down coming off two consecutive DNP-CDs. The 24-year-old can't be relied on as anything more than a sporadic scoring sparkplug, but perhaps his workload will grow moving forward with Detroit reeling.

After a couple of standout games, Knox was rewarded with back-to-back starts. However, he failed to impress, and the Pistons' small-ball lineup didn't work out. Over his first four appearances of the season, Knox has averaged 11.8 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.0 steals in 27.5 minutes per game.

With Jalen Duren (ankle) sidelined for a third straight game, Knox slid into the starting five for the Pistons and produced his first double-double in three games since rejoining the club last week. The 24-year-old forward has never lived up to his draft pedigree after being a lottery pick in 2018, but Knox is seeing big minutes right now in an injury-wracked Detroit frontcourt and has some short-term fantasy value.

With the Pistons in the midst of a nine-game losing streak, it's possible coach Monty Williams will make a change to the starting lineup even if Bagley is cleared to suit up. If Knox is starting, Isaiah Stewart would presumably slide over to center in Bagley's stead.
