Gates produced 17 points from efficient shooting (5-9 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 2-2 FT) and gathered seven boards in Friday's 127-121 road win over Iowa.
EDGE Analysis
Gates received a start and played 25 minutes despite the Maine roster including two Celtic two-way players (Fall and Waters) and two Celtic assignees (Langford and Edwards). Irregardless, it was Gates and fellow second-year G Leaguer Yante Maten that led the Red Claws to victory. One assumes Gates' minutes will decline should all four Celtics stay with Maine. But for now, Gates can enjoy his success from behind the arc and try to continue the momentum Sunday in Grand Rapids.

Gates generated 26 points (9-17 FG, 6-13 3Pt, 1-1 FT), five rebounds, two assists and one steal across 33 minutes in Sunday's 129-115 home win over the Raptors 905.
EDGE Analysis
The 26 points would be a G League career high for Kaiser, except for a 28 point effort he had last year playing for the Windy City Bulls. The Red Claws needed other scorers to step up with Romeo Langford (ankle) out. Kaiser delivered. Crustacean Nation now travels to Mississauga to again face the Raptors 905.

Gates yielded nine points, seven rebounds and two steals in Saturday's 148-125 opening night win in Delaware.
EDGE Analysis
Gates got the start for the Red Claws one day after his birthday. This is Gates' second season in the G League. He appeared in 50 contests for the Windy City Bulls last season, with nine starts. Gates was part of a small ball starting lineup that gave Maine a 17 point first quarter lead. Next up is Friday's home opener against the Mad Ants.

Gates was waived by the Celtics on Saturday, Jared Weiss of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gates appeared in two preseason games for the Celtics, averaging 4.9 fantasy points in 7.9 minutes. He is a candidate to play for the G League's Maine Red Claws.

Gates has agreed to a training camp contract with the Celtics, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gates was a G League staple last season, appearing in 50 games for the Windy City Bulls, averaging 12.7 points on 7.3 shots, 6.4 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 26.0 minutes. He also appeared in summer league with the Clippers this season. The Celtics will bring him into camp to see if he can make enough of an impact to land a final roster spot, or possibly be part of the G League squad.

Gates finished the loss Thursday to Westchester with 28 points (9-16 FG, 8-15 3Pt, 2-3 FT), 10 rebounds, two steals and one assist.
EDGE Analysis
Chalk up a new season-high for the 22-year-old thanks in large part to 24 points from downtown. Considering the undrafted rookie put together that type of production despite coming off the bench, it's fair to wonder what the forward could do with a spot in the starting rotation.

Gates produced 24 points (9-11 FG, 6-8 3Pt), 11 rebounds, four assists, two steals and a blocked shot in the win Tuesday over the Herd.
EDGE Analysis
It's a bit surprising to see Gates put together this type of routinely outstanding production despite coming off the bench, but yet again the forward managed to register a double-double. His season averages still aren't eye-popping (12.4 points, 6.2 rebounds and 2.0 assists) but those numbers have risen substantially since December.

Gates put up 20 points (6-13 FG, 4-6 FT, 4-10 3Pt), 15 rebounds, three assists, a steal and a block in Windy City's 119-110 win over the Blue Coats on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Gates had an incredible performance on Wednesday, putting up impressive numbers and leading the bench in 28 minutes of action. After putting up three points in three minutes in the first, Gates played strong in the second, scoring eight points on efficient shooting and picking up six boards. Kaiser's role on the team, relieving a starter and providing a spark off the bench, means that he doesn't get to shine too often. Kaiser only averages 11.8 points per game, but this rookie has shown tremendous promise so far.

Gates scored 15 points (4-10 FG, 3-9 3Pt, 4-4 FT) to go along with 11 rebounds, three assists, two steals and a blocked shot in the win Monday over Westchester.
EDGE Analysis
Gates has been the team's primary three-point shooter, attempting 7.1 shots from downtown in 29 games this season. It's probably more remarkable that he only averages 9.1 shots from the field, making him almost exclusively a threat from deep. Considering the sheer amount of attempts, the fact Gates is making 35.1 percent is quite respectable, particularly for a power forward.

Gates totaled 12 points (4-11 FG, 4-9 3Pt), 11 rebounds and an assist over 34 minutes Friday against Iowa.
EDGE Analysis
Gates did all of his damage from beyond the arc, draining 44.4 percent of his attempts from deep. Despite a solid effort, the Wolves would drop Friday's contest 115-103. Gates will aim to continue his recent success from three as the season rolls on.
