Primo (knee) is expected to make his preseason debut Tuesday against the Jazz, independent NBA writer Matthew Tynan reports.
EDGE Analysis
Primo has spent the last several weeks in recovery mode after sustaining an MCL sprain in late September, but he should have two chances to suit up during the preseason. Assuming he doesn't face any setbacks late in the preseason, he'll likely be available for the Spurs' regular-season opener against Charlotte on Oct. 19.

Spurs coach Gregg Popovich said Friday that Primo (knee) is doing everything in practice besides contact, Tom Orsborn of the San Antonio Express-News reports.
EDGE Analysis
Primo suffered an MCL sprain in camp and is expected to miss the beginning of the preseason. While the second-year guard is not doing contract drills yet, his participation in everything else is a good sign that he can return for the regular season.

Primo sprained the MCL in his left knee in camp and will miss at least the beginning of preseason, independent NBA writer Matthew Tynan reports. However, he's expected back for the start of the regular season.
EDGE Analysis
Primo appears to have avoided significant damage but will take a bit of a hiatus before returning to the floor. Per Tynan, the earliest Primo could return is the final game of the preseason, so his status should be monitored as the regular season approaches.

Primo (hamstring) will play Sunday against Portland, Paul Garcia of Project Spurs reports.
EDGE Analysis
A sore hamstring landed the rookie guard on the initial injury report, but after going through a pregame workout he's been cleared to take the floor. Primo should be in line for his eighth consecutive start at shooting guard, though he won't have backcourt mate Dejounte Murray (illness) alongside him.

Primo notched 11 points (5-10 FG, 1-4 3Pt), three rebounds, two assists and one block in 34 minutes during Sunday's 110-108 victory over the Warriors.
EDGE Analysis
With Doug McDermott (ankle) done for the season, the Spurs have an open spot in the starting lineup, and Primo has stepped up to fill it in each of the last two games. After posting nine points, three rebounds, a steal and a block against New Orleans on Friday, he followed up with another solid effort Sunday night. The 2021 first-round pick could be worth a speculative look in deeper re-draft formats down the stretch, but he's more of a long-term fantasy asset.
