Smith recorded 10 points (4-11 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 0-1 FT), three assists, two rebounds, and one steal across 25 minutes in Monday's 128-121 loss to the Bucks.
EDGE Analysis
It was Smith's first double-digit scoring performance since Feb. 2, and over his last 10 contests, the veteran forward is averaging 5.5 points (on 29.6% shooting), 2.7 rebounds, and 1.8 assists. Though Smith continues to hold down a starting role at power forward, if he doesn't discover his shooting stroke quickly, he could cede playing time to Clint Capela (ankle), Donatas Motiejunas, and/or Terrence Jones.

Smith (calf) is in the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against the Jazz, Johnathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
Smith sat out the fourth quarter of Friday's game against the Suns because of a cramp in his calf, but after a few days off for rest, he's good to go for Tuesday's matchup with the Jazz. He's expected to remain in the starting lineup and shouldn't have any restrictions barring any in-game aggravation to the calf injury. In 12 games with the Rockets this season, Smith is averaging seven points, 3.1 rebounds and two assists over 18 minutes.

Smith did not play in the fourth quarter of Friday's game against Phoenix due to a cramp in his calf, Calvin Watkins of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Smith exited the game late in the third quarter with cramping in his calf, and with the Rockets firmly in control by that point in the game, coach J.B Bickerstaff opted to rest the veteran forward rather than rush him back into a game that had all but been decided. His situation will be one to monitor throughout the weekend, but the Rockets don't play again until Tuesday, giving Smith plenty of time to recover. Smith finished the game with three points on 1-of-7 seven shooting to go with three rebounds and two turnovers across 23 minutes.

Smith didn't score (0-3 FG) and contributed one rebound and one block over six minutes in Wednesday's 116-103 loss to the Trail Blazers.
EDGE Analysis
Since going off for 19 points over 21 minutes in a spot start Feb. 2 against the Heat, Smith's production has hit a steep decline in the Rockets' last four games. He's seen his court time trail off dramatically with the returns of Dwight Howard (ankle) and Clint Capela (hip) to full health, and is averaging 2.3 points, 1.5 rebounds, and 1.8 assists over 11.3 minutes in that four-game stretch. Feel free to leave Smith on the wire now that he's no longer seeing meaningful minutes.

Smith scored a season-high 19 points (8-13 FG, 3-5 3Pt) with four rebounds and two steals during 21 minutes in Tuesday's 115-102 win against the Heat.
EDGE Analysis
Smith made the most of his start by outplaying Terrence Jones despite Jones receiving more minutes (29). He's shown signs of life with all the injuries to Houston's frontcourt and is likely worth a flyer in deeper leagues, but expect a short shelf life.

Smith will draw the start at center for Tuesday's game against the Heat, Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
Dwight Howard (suspension), Clint Capela (hip) and Donatas Motiejunas (back) are all sitting out, which gives Smith the chance to move into the starting lineup at center. Smith is expected to split the minutes at center with Terrence Jones, but considering the number of injuries in the frontcourt, both will likely see a bump in their normal allotment of minutes.

Smith scored a season-high 16 points (6-14 FG, 2-2 FT, 2-6 3Pt) to go with three rebounds, two assists, two steals and two blocks in 23 minutes off the bench Sunday versus the Mavericks.
EDGE Analysis
Smith has played in two games since returning to Houston, and while his abysmal 29 percent shooting leaves plenty to be desired, he has chipped with averages of four rebounds, four assists, two steals and 2.5 blocks. The veteran is long past his days of being a fantasy star, and while he is unlikely to score consistently, he has demonstrated that he is still capable of contributing across the board when given regular playing time. He figures to continue seeing just over 20 minutes per night as a reserve for the Rockets.

Smith is not expected to play Friday, but could be available as early as Sunday's game against the Mavericks, Calvin Watkins of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Smith was traded from the Clippers to the Rockets early Friday morning, but won't be available to play for the Rockets in Friday night's game against the Bucks. At the earliest, Smith could be available to play on Sunday, although it's seems likely that his best chance to make his 2015-16 debut with the Rockets will be Monday versus the Pelicans.

Smith has been traded to the Rockets in exchange for the draft rights to foreign players, as well as cash, Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 11-year veteran out of Oak Hill Academy will be traded to the Rockets, a team that he most recently played 55 games for during the 2014-15 season. Smith was buried on the depth chart in Los Angeles and had struggled to receive meaningful playing time, so the Clippers felt comfortable dealing the forward in order to save close to $2 million in luxury taxes. There's a chance he's able to re-establish some value in the move to Houston, although he'll still likely begin his time with the Rockets backing up the likes of Clint Capela and Terrence Jones in the frontcourt. Donatas Motiejunas has been dealing with a back injury as well and is without a timetable for return, so Smith offers another body to throw into the mix.

Smith recorded nine points (4-11 FG, 1-2 3Pt), three boards, three steals, one assist, and one block across 20 minutes in Wednesday's 104-90 triumph over the Heat.
EDGE Analysis
Smith had been left on the bench in coach's decision in each of the previous three games, but with both Blake Griffin (quad) and DeAndre Jordan (illness) unavailable Wednesday, coach Doc Rivers needed to dig deeper into his pool of big men. While Smith wasn't a disaster in his 20 minutes on the floor, it was Cole Aldrich (19 points, seven boards, three assists) who made the most of the opportunity. Jordan is expected to be back in action for Saturday's game against the Kings, which will likely result in Smith falling back out of the rotation.
