Okogie will make his NBA debut Saturday against the Mavericks, Alan Horton of the Timberwolves Radio Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
Though coach Tom Thibodeau is undecided who will start in Jimmy Butler's (rest) stead, Okogie will be getting minutes. He averaged 7.8 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 22.1 minutes during the preseason.

Okogie did not play in Wednesday's loss at San Antonio due to a coach's decision.
EDGE Analysis
The 20th overall pick in the NBA Draft doesn't figure into Minnesota's plans in the short term and head coach Tom Thibodeau isn't one to dig deep into his bench. It may be awhile before Okogie gets any significant action and a trip to the G-League wouldn't be surprising.

Okogie had 11 points (3-8 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 4-5 FT), five rebounds, three assists, and two steals in 23 minutes during Friday's 143-121 preseason loss to the Bucks.
EDGE Analysis
Okogie was given the nod as the starter, replacing Andrew Wiggins who was away from the team for personal reasons. In 23 minutes, Okogie was able to contribute in a number of areas and was one of the bright spots on an otherwise ordinary night for the Wolves. He is in a position to provide some nice energy off the bench should coach Tom Thibodeau give him the opportunity. His value lies purely in deeper formats at this stage but there is some nice dynasty upside there.

Okogie will get the start at small forward for Friday's preseason finale versus the Bucks.
EDGE Analysis
Okogie will start along side Jeff Teague, Derrick Rose, Taj Gibson, and Karl-Anthony Towns. He started for rose in the Timberwolves' previous game, but is filling in for Andrew Wiggins (personal) Friday. He is just expected to be an energy guy playing limited minutes off the bench once the season tips off.

Okogie had four points (1-7 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 2-3 FT), eight rebounds, three assists, one steal, and one block in 25 minutes during Sunday's 125-107 preseason loss to the Bucks.
EDGE Analysis
Okogie moved into the starting lineup with Derrick Rose given the night off. He played 25 minutes and while he did struggle from the field, he was able to contribute across the board in an otherwise solid performance. He is an energy guy and if afforded the opportunity, could provide a nice spark off the bench for the Wolves. The Jimmy Butler situation is no closer to being resolved and given coach Tom Thibodeau's apparent lack of confidence in anyone outside of the starters, Okogie is more of a wait-and-see guy right now.

Okogie will start at shooting guard in Sunday's preseason game against the Bucks, Alan Horton of the Timberwolves Radio Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
With Derrick Rose getting the night off to rest, the rookie Okogie will get the start in the backcourt alongside Jeff Teague. Okogie played 22 minutes in Wednesday's preseason outing against the Clippers, and he should be in line to take on even more minutes Sunday night.

Okogie offered eight points (1-3 FG, 6-6 FT), three blocks, two rebounds, and one assist in 22 minutes during Wednesday's 128-101 loss to the Clippers.
EDGE Analysis
Okogie has been solid through two preseason games, as the rookie posted 10 points (3-5 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 3-5 FT), five rebounds, and one steal in 20 minutes in his debut versus the Warriors. Coach Tom Thibodeau typically doesn't trust young players to take on big roles, and that could be the case for Okogie as well. With that being said, if he keeps up this level of play, the team's lack of depth along the wing could help solidify Okogie's inclusion in the regular rotation.

Okogie is out for Friday's summer league game due to a sprained right pinky finger.
EDGE Analysis
The 20th pick in this year's draft, Okogie will get Friday off, as there's little reason to push through the injury considering it's summer league. Across four contests, he's averaged 11.0 points, 5.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 2.3 steals and 2.0 blocks across 32.6 minutes.

Okogie drew the start in Sunday's 103-92 summer league win over the Raptors, posting 16 points (5-15 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 5-5 FT), four rebounds, one assist, two steals and a block across 34 minutes.
EDGE Analysis
Okogie got out-played by Timberwolves' second-round pick Keita Bates-Diop, but was still a key factor in helping secure the victory. The 19-year-old shooting guard struggled with his shot, hitting just 33.3 percent of his field goal attempts and 20 percent of his deep balls. However, Okogie was able to get to the free-throw line fairly consistently, which still helped him finish in double figures on the night. Considering Okogie tied for a team-high of 15 shot attempts, he should be a main source of offense for the Timberwolves' summer league roster through the rest of the schedule.

Okogie (hip) supplied 10 points (2-10 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 5-8 FT), seven rebounds, four assists, three blocks and two steals across 33 minutes during the Timberwolves' 70-69 loss to the Nuggets in a Las Vegas Summer League contest Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Okogie was far from smooth with his shot Friday, but he helped prop up his final numbers with a decent showing from the free-throw line and strong work across the rest of the stat sheet. The 2018 first-round pick boasts an impressive all-around skill set, and summer league play should give him an opportunity to work out the kinks in his shot that were on display Friday. Okogie is projected to play either shooting guard or small forward at the NBA level, and although the Timberwolves currently boast Jimmy Butler and Andrew Wiggins as the respective starters at those positions, Okogie would figure to have a chance to carve out some playing time at both spots during his rookie campaign.
