Okogie drew his ninth consecutive start Sunday, but his 11 minutes were his fewest since joining the Timberwolves' top unit. He ran into some foul trouble that ended up limited his playing time, but Okogie's use had been trending downward anyway following Derrick Rose's return from an ankle injury Jan. 11. The 20-year-old rookie doesn't warrant ownership in most leagues with 14 or fewer teams.

Okogie posted three points (0-4 FG, 3-4 FT), three rebounds, two assists, and two steals in 24 minutes during Wednesday's 115-102 loss to the Celtics.

EDGE Analysis

Okogie drew the start in place of Robert Covington (ankle) but was limited by foul trouble and his inability to find an offensive rhythm. It's unclear whether Covington, Jeff Teague (ankle), or Derrick Rose (ankle) will return for Friday's matchup with the Magic, but if not Okogie would likely be in line for another plentiful load of minutes.

Okogie will start in Wednesday's game against the Celtics, Alan Horton of the Timberwolves Radio Network reports.

With Robert Covington, Derrick Rose and Jeff Teague all out with ankle injuries, Okogie will enter the starting lineup alongside Tyus Jones and Andrew Wiggins. Okogie has made seven starts in his rookie season, and he is averaging 8.4 points and 4.7 rebounds across nearly 30 minutes per game.

Okogie totaled 10 points (4-9 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 1-2 FT), three rebounds, three assists, two steals, and one block in 27 minutes during Monday's 132-105 victory over the Kings.

EDGE Analysis

Okogie, along with a number of other second unit players, saw a nice amount of playing time Monday. This game was over after the first quarter which meant a number of the starters were rested during the second half. Okogie had a number of highlight plays and if he ever finds a way to get some consistent playing time, he would be worth a look in standard formats.

Okogie scored 11 points with five rebounds, three steals and an assist in 17 minutes in Wednesday's win over New Orleans. He was 3-of-5 from three-point range.

EDGE Analysis

Okogie provided a spark with several hustle plays that should keep him in the mix off the bench. It's a good sign he played 17 minutes in the first game with new acquisitions Robert Covington and Dario Saric in the mix.

Okogie produced 15 points (4-10 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 6-7 FT), five rebounds, one assists, and one steal in 25 minutes during Friday's 116-99 loss to the Warriors.

EDGE Analysis

Okogie played 25 minutes off the bench Friday and performed well in that time. We continue to wait for an outcome in the Jimmy Butler situation, thus leaving Okogie in fantasy limbo for the time being. If and when Butler is moved, Okogie could move into the standard league discussion. Until then, he is more of a deep league player but owners everywhere will need to keep a close eye on the situation.

Okogie will get the nod yet again as Andrew Wiggins (quad) continues to sit out. The 20-year-old has averaged just under 27 minutes per game since Wiggins sustained the injury, but that average will likely plummet upon the return of Wiggins, who seems to be nearing a comeback.

Okogie shifted back to a reserve role with Jimmy Butler (rest) making his return to the lineup. However, Andrew Wiggins (quadriceps) exited the game in the first half, which resulted in the rookie being called upon to play plenty of minutes. It's unclear whether Wiggins will suit up for Wednesday's matchup with the Raptors, but if not Okogie may be relied on to play 20-plus minutes once again.

Okogie will start in place of the resting Jimmy Butler for Saturday's game against Dallas.
