Jackson totaled 14 points (5-12 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, and one block in 39 minutes during Tuesday's 114-112 win over the Trail Blazers.

EDGE Analysis

Jackson shot well in his preseason debut, knocking down two treys while playing heavy minutes off the bench. However, he did struggle with ball control, coughing up the rock a whopping seven times. Meanwhile, starting small forward T.J. Warren scored 24 points on 15 shots and committed zero turnovers. Given the results, it's unlikely that Jackson will leapfrog Warren right away.

Jackson will come off the bench for Tuesday's preseason opener against the Trail Blazers, Casey Holdahl of TrailBlazers.com reports.

EDGE Analysis

Considering he was the fourth overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft, there's at least a chance the Suns consider using him as a starter. However, with Devin Booker and T.J. Warren occupying the two spots on the wing, Jackson will open his debut in a bench role. The Suns could certainly try some different lineups throughout the preseason, but for now, Jackson will be stuck as a reserve. Still, the rookie should get plenty of run early on.
