The 20-year-old will be entering the second year of his two-year contract which include team options the following two seasons.

This was Johnson's fourth straight 20-plus point appearance and it looks like he's taken the opportunity to make his case for a starting role on next year's roster while the usual backcourt is sidelined. Jackson would be a Rookie of the Year candidate if he had more opportunities on a better team, but the Kansas product has a tougher road in Phoenix. He'll continue churning out great stat lines in Phoenix's final two games.

TJ Warren remains on the sidelines and there is a decent chance he is out for the rest of the season giving Jackson free reign, especially on the offensive end. He has had a strong finish to the season and if you can deal with the inconsistencies in his field-goal percentage, he is a must-own player heading into the final games of the season.

He has some concerns around his efficiency, as do many rookies, but despite that, he should be owned in standard leagues.

Jackson went toe-to-toe with fellow rookie Jayson Tatum, matching the latter's scoring total on the night. Jackson has now scored at least 15 points in seven straight contests, and his 60.0 percent success rate Monday was his best of the last four contests. The former Jayhawk has enjoyed an expanded role during the extended absences of Devin Booker (hand) and T.J. Warren (back), so his usage could take a hit as soon as either returns to the lineup. Moreover, Warren's eventual return would presumably push Jackson back onto the second unit, although he's proven aptly capable of offering solid multi-category production off the bench.
