After losing Brandon Rush (torn ACL) for the season, some free-agent names that are "arising" for the Warriors are Josh Howard, Mickael Pietrus, Mo Evans and Kenyon Martin. The first three players make some sense with Rush out fo the year, but K-Mart isn't a small forward and the Warriors already have both David Lee and Carl Landry at that spot. Howard, Pietrus and Evans should all come at the veteran's minimum salary if Golden State decides to pursue any one of them.

Josh Howard is still hoping to sign a contract this season. "I'm just waiting for the opportunity to get on a team," he said. With his chronic knee woes and declining talent, Howard is going to have to wait for an injury in the right spot to see his market heat up.

The Knicks remain interested in signing Josh Howard, a source tells ESPN New York. It's hard to see how Howard would fit onto New York's veteran roster, but the Knicks have reportedly had "recent conversations with his representatives." With constant knee issues and a declining game, Howard isn't a fantasy asset regardless of where he lands.

The Knicks remain interested in signing Josh Howard, according to Ian Begley of ESPNNY.com. Howard reportedly visited with San Antonio and Philadelphia recently, so it looks like he should be very close to signing. Even though the Jazz used him more than expected with his 23.0 minutes per game last year, he doesn't project to have much fantasy value this season.

Josh Howard is meeting with the Sixers on Monday and Tuesday, a source tells Yahoo! Sports. Howard is still looking for a team to latch onto with training camp quickly arriving. After visiting the Spurs last week, Howard should be able to find a new home shortly. He was also drawing interest from the Timberwolves, and the Jazz have also expressed an openness to bringing him back.

There is "mutual interest" between unrestricted FA Josh Howard and the Jazz. The Jazz want to re-sign the veteran after he "exceeded expectations" last season, but it would be a curious move to bring him back given the youth on the wing in Utah. However, the chances of him returning have "only become slimmer" and it's conceivable that his days with the team are over.

Josh Howard "still has interest" in re-signing with the Jazz. Howard will visit the Spurs on Monday, and he'll likely make a decision about what bench he'll join before training camp kicks off. He offers no sustainable fantasy value at this stage of his career.

Free agent G/F and North Carolina native Josh Howard has been working out with Charlotte this week, with the Bulls and Knicks also potentially interested in his services. Howard actually started a handful of games with the Jazz last season, but has always had had problems staying healthy. If he can stay healthy -- which is a big if -- Howard could offer a pretty versatile swingman game to the right situation. For what it's worth, Howard has said he's 100 percent recovered from knee surgery he had during last season.
