Though Clarkson did a decent job of filling up the box score during his time on the court, the fact that he didn't check into the game until the Knicks had built a 32-point lead at the start of the fourth quarter suggests he likely would have been out of the rotation had Wednesday's contest been more competitive. The garbage-time appearance came just two days after Clarkson had been limited to one two-minute shift at the end of the first quarter during the Knicks' 114-97 loss to the Mavericks before he stayed on the bench for the final three quarters. Clarkson had 25 points (9-17 FG, 5-10 3Pt, 2-2 FT), one rebound, two assists and three steals in 29 minutes off the bench during Thursday's 126-124 win over the Cavaliers.

EDGE Analysis

The 25 points were a season high for Clarkson, marking just the second time as a Knick he's topped 20. The veteran second-unit sniper is still struggling to find some consistency with his new team, but he's scored in double digits in six of the last nine contests, averaging 11.3 points, 2.0 boards, 2.0 threes and 1.2 assists in 23.2 minutes over that span.

Clarkson finished Thursday's 114-113 victory over the Pacers with 18 points (6-12 FG, 5-9 3Pt, 1-1 FT), three rebounds, one assist and one steal across 29 minutes.

Clarkson nailed a season-high five threes in Thursday's win over the Pacers, scoring his most points since his 24-point performance against the Heat on Nov. 14. It was a standout performance in what's otherwise been a disappointing season so far for the 33-year-old guard, who is averaging a career low in points (9.9), rebounds (2.0) and assists (1.6) while shooting 43.2 percent from the field in 20.2 minutes per game.

Clarkson amassed 15 points (6-15 FG, 3-7 3Pt), two rebounds, one block and one steal in 27 minutes during Tuesday's 124-113 victory over the Spurs.

EDGE Analysis

Clarkson scored at least 15 points for just the sixth time this season, helping the Knicks to an impressive victory in the NBA Cup. Despite a proven ability to score off the bench, Clarkson has been mostly disappointing this season, averaging just 9.6 points and 1.1 three-pointers in 19.8 minutes per game. At best, he should be viewed as a streaming option in fantasy leagues for anyone desperate for points.

Despite this dud for Clarkson, he may be on the streaming radar in deeper formats ahead of Tuesday's game against the Raptors in a low-volume week -- Miles McBride suffered an ankle injury and is scheduled to undergo an MRI. If McBride misses time, Clarkson and Tyler Kolek will be prime candidates to soak up some minutes.

With Landry Shamet (shoulder) exiting the contest early in the first quarter, Clarkson logged a season high in minutes and made the most of the opportunity. The veteran guard led the Knicks' bench in points, scoring in double figures for the third time over his last four appearances. If Shamet ends up missing additional time, Clarkson will likely continue to see a bump in minutes moving forward.
