Collins (back) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Wizards, Andy Larsen of The Salt Lake Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Collins is set to be out of action for the sixth time in seven games due to lower back injury management, and his next chance to see the floor is Friday against the Raptors. The Jazz will be shorthanded Wednesday due to the absences of Collins, Walker Kessler (rest), Lauri Markkanen (back), Jordan Clarkson (foot) and Collin Sexton (ankle). Collins (back) is doubtful for Monday's game against the Pistons.
EDGE Analysis
Collins made his return from a three-game absence Friday, posting 29 points (12-18 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 2-3 FT), 12 rebounds, one assist and one block in 27 minutes during a win over Minnesota, but he was back in street clothes Sunday and will likely miss the second half of Utah's back-to-back set as well. With Lauri Markkanen (back) already out, KJ Martin, Kyle Filipowski and Brice Sensabaugh are candidates for increased roles again, though Utah is expected to have Walker Kessler (rest) available Monday.

Collins accumulated 29 points (12-18 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 2-3 FT), 12 rebounds, one assist and one block over 27 minutes during Friday's 117-116 win over Minnesota.
EDGE Analysis
Collins finished Friday's contest as the game's leading scorer and rebounder. He did most of his damage through the first three quarters, but he attempted only one field goal in the fourth quarter and failed to reach the 30-point threshold for the first time this season. Part of that may have been due to an undisclosed injury that caused Collins to briefly leave in the third quarter, and the injury report will be worth monitoring ahead of Sunday's game against the Pelicans.

Collins returned early in the fourth quarter of Friday's game against Minnesota, per the Jazz's official broadcast.
EDGE Analysis
Collins briefly left in the third quarter of Friday's game due to an undisclosed injury. However, he checked in for Cody Williams at the beginning of the fourth quarter, and it appears whatever Collins went to the locker room for isn't serious.

Collins went to the locker room during Friday's game against the Timberwolves due to an undisclosed injury, Ben Anderson of KSL News Salt Lake City reports.
EDGE Analysis
It's unclear what happened to Collins, though he checked himself out of the game and went straight to the locker room following a dunk. At the time of his departure, he had notched 29 points and 10 rebounds in only 19 minutes. Losing him for the rest of the game would be a huge blow for the Jazz.

Collins (back) is available for Friday's game against the Timberwolves.
EDGE Analysis
Collins will return Friday from a three-game absence due to back soreness. He averaged 19.2 points, 7.0 rebounds, 0.9 assists and 1.4 blocks over 33 minutes per game in his nine outings prior to his injury. Collins' return will likely lead to a decrease in playing time for KJ Martin and Brice Sensabaugh.
