Sochan registered 23 points (9-16 FG, 4-6 3Pt, 1-2 FT), nine rebounds and four assists in 30 minutes during Saturday's 144-119 loss to the Mavericks.
EDGE Analysis
Sochan was coming off eight straight games in which he couldn't score more than 11 points, but he bounced back admirably here and delivered one of his best outings of the campaign while ending just one rebound away from recording a double-double. Sochan hasn't been playing well of late and is averaging just 9.2 points, 6.0 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game in December, and those numbers are not good enough to keep him rostered outside of very deep leagues.

Sochan recorded seven points (3-11 FG, 1-5 3Pt), six rebounds, two assists and one steal across 35 minutes in Monday's 93-82 loss to the Rockets.
EDGE Analysis
After a one-game benching, Sochan has started in San Antonio's last two games, but he's seen more time off the ball as a forward while Devin Vassell and Malaki Branham have handled more of the ball-handling responsibilities. According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Spurs plan to take a committee approach to the point guard spot moving forward, after Sochan had previously taken on that role for much of the season to limited success. In addition to Vassell, Branham and Sochan, bench guard Tre Jones will also serve as a ballhandler when he's on the floor. The arrangement is likely to result in fewer assist opportunities for Sochan, who has already seen his usage dip below 15 percent in both of his last two starts, well down from the 18.9 percent rate he's carrying for the season. If the recent downturn in usage proves to be sticky, Sochan may no longer be worthy of holding in most 12-team category leagues, even if he continues to see 30-plus minutes in most games.

Sochan won't start Wednesday's game against Minnesota, Andrew Lopez of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Spurs have been experimenting with Sochan at point guard this season, and for the most part, it hasn't worked. However, he posted 33 points, eight rebounds and six assists in 36 minutes during a two-point loss to Atlanta last week, marking his best all-around game this season. Devin Vassell, Keldon Johnson, Cedi Osman, Victor Wembanyama and Zach Collins will start Wednesday, but Sochan figures to see plenty of playing time off the bench.

Sochan had 33 points (12-14 FG, 3-3 3Pt, 6-6 FT), eight rebounds, six assists and one steal across 36 minutes during Thursday's 137-135 loss to Atlanta.
EDGE Analysis
The experiment of playing Sochan as a point guard has drawn mixed reviews and has delivered a few head-scratching moments, but coach Gregg Popovich is sticking with his idea. From a statistical perspective, it worked Thursday, as Sochan posted one of the best games of his career while contributing at both ends. His overall numbers have looked on par with last season's, though. This 33-point output was a season-high mark by a wide margin, as his previous season-best mark was only 19 points.

Sochan (knee) is available for Thursday's game against Atlanta, Paul Garcia of ProjectSpurs.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Sochan was probable for Thursday's matchup due to his knee injury, and he'll officially be able to suit up. He was limited to 17 minutes Saturday against the Nuggets after sustaining his injury, but he had averaged 11.6 points, 6.4 rebounds and 4.2 assists in 32.6 minutes per game over his five appearances prior to that matchup.

Sochan (knee) is probable for Thursday's game versus the Hawks.
EDGE Analysis

Sochan (knee) has been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's game against the Nuggets, Paul Garcia of ProjectSpurs.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Sochan exited the game in the second quarter due to left knee soreness and will not return. The severity of his injury is unclear at this point, so his status for Thursday's game against the Hawks is in question. Sochan finished the game with four points, three assists and two rebounds in 17 minutes.

Sochan provided 19 points (6-15 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 5-6 FT), five rebounds and seven assists over 32 minutes during Wednesday's 109-102 loss to the Clippers.
EDGE Analysis
The experiment with Sochan at point guard hasn't been successful to this point, but performances like this show a glimpse of what he's capable of in that role. At 6-foot-8, Sochan should be an efficient scorer against smaller guards in the paint, but that just hasn't been the case yet, as he's shooting only 42.7 percent from the field despite a career-high 37.5 percent mark from deep. The rebuilding Spurs should continue to give Sochan opportunities to flourish, so fantasy managers shouldn't be too discouraged by the inconsistent start.

Sochan (groin) is available for Tuesday's game versus the Thunder, Andrew Lopez of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Sochan has been upgraded from questionable to available Tuesday despite dealing with right adductor tightness. With Keldon Johnson (knee) and Tre Jones (hamstring) out, Sochan could see an increase in his usage.
