He is apparently seeking a buyout after the Hawks failed to find a suitable trade prior to Thursday's trade deadline. A move is unlikely to improve his outlook and he is currently more suited to deeper formats.

Lin registered 13 points (3-8 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 6-7 FT), four assists and two rebounds across 24 minutes Monday in the Hawks' 123-118 win over the Clippers.

Lin has settled into a nice groove of late as one of the Hawks' primary scorers on the second unit. The reserve guard has topped 10 points in each of the past four contests while shooting 45 percent from the field and chipping in 4.0 assists per game. That sort of production offers value in deeper fantasy leagues.

Lin has scored 15 points in consecutive contests, this following a three-game steak of single-digit scoring and one missed game due to illness. Lin isn't shooting the ball as well as he did back in November (56.0 FG, 47.9 3Pt, 84.0 FT), but he's delivering comparable counting stats here in January. Hawks coach Lloyd Pierce has made it a priority to avoid overworking rookie point guard Trae Young, which bodes well for Lin's fantasy value as long as he isn't traded before the deadline, especially since the two share the floor sometimes as well.

Lin (illness) is not on the injury report for Saturday's game against the Celtics.

As expected after he participated in practice Thursday, Lin has been cleared to play after an illness kept him out of Tuesday's game against Oklahoma City. Starting point guard Trae Young, however, is questionable with an illness of his own, so if Young is sidelined, Lin would be in line to start against Boston.
