Taylor will not receive a qualifying offer from the Hornets, Marc Spears of Yahoo! Sports reports.
Taylor has been unable to find his niche in three years with the Hornets after the team selected him 31st overall in 2012. The Vanderbilt product was billed as a knockdown three-point shooter coming out of college, but he's shot just 31.9 percent from beyond the arc in his career. In 2014-15, he notched career-lows in scoring (4.4 points per game), rebounds (1.8), steals (0.4) and minutes (14.8). He'll enter the summer as an unrestricted free agent, meaning the Hornets will not have the option to match any offer he may receive from another franchise.

Taylor started the season with a 24-game suspension following a domestic incident and then played in the D-League for a short stint before even officially joining the Hornets. At season's end, Taylor had played in just 29 games and finished with averages of 4.4 points and 1.8 rebounds in 15 minutes.
In this third NBA season with Charlotte, Taylor continued to be unable to become a reliable piece of the team's rotation, and while his 24-game suspension did not help, he still was not able to get much done while he was on the court. Taylor's most playing time came in the final month of season, where he averaged nearly 25 minutes per game, as he got an increase in minutes with Michael Kidd-Gilchrist out with an ankle injury. In that time, however, Taylor only managed averages of 6.3 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.3 assists. The Hornets do have a qualifying offer of nearly $1.2 million that they can extend to Taylor, otherwise the small forward will be looking for work this offseason

Taylor started again for Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (ankle) and scored 10 points (3-7 FG, 4-5 FT) in 25 minutes in the blowout loss to the Pistons on Sunday.
Taylor has played at least 18 minutes in the last nine games, but has not scored more than 10 points. He has only scored in double digits twice in this abbreviated season.

Taylor scored four points to go along with six rebounds, one assist, and one steal in 25 minutes as a starter against the Hawks on Friday.
Taylor has seen increased time on the court with a plethora of normal rotation players injured in Charlotte. It's still unclear if these players will rejoin the team before the season ends, leaving Taylor's value hanging in the balance.

Taylor is starting at small forward Saturday against the Hawks with Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (ankle) out.
In the two other starts Taylor has been given this season, he averaged 9.0 points, 2.5 rebounds, 1.0 assist, 0.5 steals, 0.5 blocks, and 1.5 three-pointers in 27 minutes per game. Those numbers aren't good enough to use in daily games or standard leagues, so he's best left in the scrap heap for most leagues.

Taylor scored six points (2-4 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 1-2 FT), to go with two rebounds, one assist, and one steal in 22 minutes on Sunday.
Taylor started in place of Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, but didn't really do anything in this game to warrant him worth owning outside of the deepest leagues. MKG is expected to be out for beyond the All-Star break so there is some short-term value for daily games depending on the matchup.

Taylor will start in Sunday's game against the Pacers.
Taylor will start in place of the injured Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (hamstring) on Sunday. Kidd-Gilchrist is not expected to play until after the All-Star break, so Taylor may be in store for added value beyond Sunday's game.

Taylor will be available for the Hornets' game against the Knicks on Saturday after getting recalled from the D-League on Friday.
Taylor played three games for the Austin Spurs and averaged 11.8 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 1.3 assists during 26.2 minutes per game. He has seen action in three games for Charlotte previously this season but averaged just six minutes per game. He could certainly work his way into the rotation at some point in the future, although he'll likely see limited minutes for the time being.

Taylor will play three more games in the D-League before rejoining the Hornets, CSN Northeast's A. Sherrod Blakely reports.
This means that Taylor could return to the Hornets following the Austin Spurs' game Friday, potentially being available for Charlotte's game in New York this Saturday. Taylor will likely start as a reserve seeing limited minutes, but could eventually play his way into a prominent role in the Hornets' rotation. With that in mind, he should be added to watch lists, and not actual rosters in most fantasy formats.

Taylor was reassigned to the Austin Spurs of the NBA D-League on Sunday.
Taylor is still a player that the Hornets have faith in, but he simply wasn't going to get the minutes necessary for progressing his development at the NBA level. The third-year player could eventually return to the Hornets this season, but he'd need a major roster shake-up in order to be given the minutes necessary to become fantasy-relevant.
