Toronto ruled out six players due to injury ahead of the contest, enabling Dowtin to handle a light role off the bench behind backcourt starters Fred VanVleet and Will Barton. So long as Toronto gets one of Scottie Barnes (wrist) or Gary Trent (elbow) back for Friday's game against the Pistons, Dowtin could find himself back outside of head coach Nick Nurse's rotation.

Dowtin did not play during Tuesday's 111-104 win over College Park because of an ankle injury.

The 905 won their first three games of March. Dowtin averaged 21.3 points and 5.7 assists across the three-game span. Though those rates will worsen at least a little once Dalano Banton (thumb) returns from his injury, Dowtin's excellence is expected to continue until further notice.

Dowtin logged 21 points (9-15 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 3-4 FT), nine assists and five rebounds across 33 minutes during the 905's 135-125 win against Fort Wayne on Thursday.

While part of the 905's roster, Dowtin is expected to be a significant scorer and their primary distributor. Currently, he is averaging 15.9 points and 6.0 assists across his 11 G League games this season.
