Smart added 29 points (10-22 FG, 5-13 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, three assists and one steal during Sunday's win over the Squadron.

Smart continued his fantastic offensive play by tallying a game high. It was also the second straight performance dropping at least 29 points, as Smart has reached double figures offensively in each of the past five games. The former LSU standout is averaging 20.3 points and 4.8 rebounds across 13 starts with Sioux Falls.

Smart dropped 16 points (6-17 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 1-1 FT), 10 rebounds, five assists and two steals during Tuesday's loss to Agua Caliente.

This was Smart's first game back in the G League after spending a short time with the Bucks, and he picked up right where he left off. Despite shooting a mere 12.5 percent from deep, Smart tied a team best offensively with his fifth straight outing with at least 17 points.

Smart was waived by the Bucks on Thursday, Zora Stephenson of Bally Sports Wisconsin reports.

EDGE Analysis

Smart signed a two-way contract with the Bucks in late November, and he averaged 2.4 points in 12.3 minutes per game across 13 appearances. Assuming he goes unclaimed on waivers, it wouldn't be surprising to see him head back to the G League.

The 22-year-old combo guard had been one of the early season standouts in the G League, averaging 22.0 points (on 49.4 percent shooting from the field), 4.4 rebounds, 3.8 three-pointers, 3.6 assists and 1.0 steals in 35.3 minutes per game over five appearances with the Sioux Falls Skyforce. The Bucks will make room for him by giving Smart the two-way roster spot that previously belonged to guard Justin Robinson, who will be waived in a corresponding move.
