Jason Richardson will have knee surgery on Thursday, with an expected rehabilitation of 9-12 months. J-Rich will be on crutches for six weeks after the surgery and it's anyone's guess how much he'll contribute next season. He is under contract for $6.2 million in 2013-14, with a $6.6 million player option the following year.

Jason Richardson confirmed that he'll have to get knee surgery and is out for the season. Richardson will be out for 9-12 months following surgery meaning that he will not be ready for the start of the 2013-14 season. As a veteran with a history of knee injuries, he'll have to prove he's healthy at every step of his rehab and faces a long road to return.

Jason Richardson, who plans to get a fourth opinion on his knee, is likely to get season-ending surgery. As we said previously, if three opinions all say surgery for Richardson, it's unlikely a fourth will change that outlook. We don't expect to see him again this year, locking Nick Young into a prominent role. Dorell Wright will also receive a boost with J-Rich sidelined.

Updating a previous iterm, the Sixers announced that Jason Richardson will get a fourth opinion on his left knee before deciding on surgery. If three medical professionals suggest he gets surgery on an issue that's been bothering him for most of the season, chances are the fourth one will have a similar plan for treatment. Richardson should be cut across the board and Nick Young is worth a look in most leagues.

Jason Richardson will have left knee surgery and is expected to miss the rest of the season. The recovery time is expected to take 6-9 months, which means he should be ready for the start of next season. Richardson has been battling knee issues for most of the season and he received three medical opinions on the proper treatment. Nick Young has done enough to be owned in some standard leagues while Dorell Wright could climb his way out of Doug Collins' doghouse and gain value.

Jason Richardson was in New York to get a third opinion on his ailing knee Wednesday. Doug Collins said Monday that Richardson "will be out for a while," which solidifies Nick Young's role int he starting five. Since taking over J-Rich's spot, Swaggy P is averaging 16.7 points and 2.3 3-pointers per game. Whenever Richardson is finally able to return, it's entirely possible Young will retain the starting gig.

Jason Richardson (knee) is seeking a third opinion on his ailing knee, and coach Doug Collins said that J-Rich "will be out for a while." This solidifies Nick Young's role in the starting five, where he's averaging 16.7 points and 2.3 triples per game. He may not relinquish the starting job even when J-Rich is healthy, so make sure he's not still floating on your waiver wire.

Updating a previous item, Jason Richardson (knee) is not expected to play against the Sixers on Monday. The Swaggy P experiment continues. Since Nick Young took over the starting shooting guard spot, he's averaging 17.8 points, 3.5 rebounds, 1.3 steals and 2.3 3-pointers in 36 minutes per game. With Richardson expected to be out again, owners can expect Young to help in points and triples as he usually does.

Jason Richardson (knee) could be headed for a bench role when he returns, according to PhillyBlurbs. The Sixers have played well with Nick Young in the starting lineup, and bringing J-Rich off the bench could be a way to effectively limit the veteran's minutes in order to keep him healthy. If Young is still floating around on your waiver wire, he shouldn't be.
