Kapono was waived by the Warriors following Friday night's preseason finale against Denver. We're not sure what the next step is for Kapono, though a return to a foreign league may be in the cards.

Kapono made his Golden State debut in Thursday night's preseason game against the Lakers. Kapono scored seven points on 2-of-3 shooting from the field and 2-of-2 at the free-throw line. The three-point marksman made 1-of-2 from long distance. He's working on a training-camp deal so there are no guarantees he's on the opening-night roster.

Kapono received FIBA clearance and was able to sign a training-camp deal with Golden State, the San Francisco Chronicle reports. The Warriors have Kapono, Brandon Rush and Leandro Barbosa in camp, looking for a role as a scorer off the bench.

Kapono has not yet signed a training-camp deal with the Warriors because he has yet to receiver FIBA clearance, the San Jose Mercury News reports. Kapono last played overseas, so clearance from the international body governing player movement is required.
